David Tennant is a dream! Third time watching thus far, brilliant movie.
This film remembers me of a very long past sad and frustrated love that i accepted and forgave for it taught me an important lesson so i could mature and move on. Felt so grateful.❤❤❤

❤ Such a fantastic story, soundtrack, funny and Peter o'Toole is a fantastic human being. ❤
Thank you for sharing this story.
Didn't have high expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Later found that it was a BBC TV production and that made sense. Good story, decent acting and wonderful cinematography. Had the same vibe as Tom Jones and Barry Lyndon. Enjoyed it.
The court dance routines were so vibrant and colourful. I was exhausted at the end just watching them.
BBC TV did a series called Gormanghast. The critics were not impressed but I felt it was as they say, before it's time. I feel the same way about Sandy Wilson's Valmouth that the critics slated at the time.
EXCELLENT! Wonderful story that was woven in and out, and over and over. What a tale! GREAT acting, costumes, scenery, acting. Don't miss it!
Fantastic colourful dance routines at court.
He wore blue lenses for the movie? He looks so pretty with brown eyes but with blue he looks softer to me, reminds of one person I used to know 💙 💙
Hi
I suppose it was to match Peter O’Toole’s divine baby blues. He’s been famous for them since before Tennant was born.
Wow is not enough ❤
Ohhh.. a lovely heart ! I wish I was there ! I really like this film.
I wish I had been on the dance floor at the court. It must have been fun rehearsing that scene.
David Tennant as Giacomo Casanova? You're having a laugh! 😂😂😂
I came to the comments to see if I needed better meds, but it's not just me!
I believe anything these days. Mchael Douglas as Benjamin Franklin? 😆
Johnathan Rys Meyers would have been perfect for that role.
Thank you for uploading. The ending did me in.
1:04:14 that poor priest 😂
41:20 the lighting is gorgeous
Ooooooh. Old movie!! 😮❤
How young /old (your age thought) are you ? Did you watch this film when you were younger ?
@@444rita you must be in your 40a
@@katieh3236 I’m 60
This was a fun movie to watch. I've always enjoyed Peter O'Toole. I just wonder when it was made. I like to know the original date of production and distribution.
Love all his interviews with Charlie Rose & Letterman over the years. My parents were lucky enough to see him in the West End Jeffery Barnard is Unwell.
2005 on BBC three.
Otra vez una buena película, pero sin subtitulos en Español
1:41:50 that boy do be traumatized (^u^)
Yep 😂
This is censored. If you look up "Casonova - David Tennant with the twins" you see the scene where the sisters seduce him is a lot more risqué. I wonder what else was left out?
👍.

Talented cast but too many storylines. Too much going on in this version. Modern mixed with period drama. Kind of vulgar at times and lacking the romance I was expecting.
