I'm a huge n64 fan and the three games that she did offer to sell are low value N64 games which is why he was bummed. (Perfect Dark is so awesome though) They were trying multiple tactics to buy those all. Engaging in conversation to appear as a friend and then they try to agree if the seller values it to just keep it (they are banking on them changing their mind because it appears he doesnt want to buy it as much as he really does) This guy is really a sociopath. I'm glad that lady kept those games. The condition on them is really good.
I cant see all the titles clearly but besides the BO2, most of those 360/XB1 games looked like older sports games or older COD games that most places would indeed probably refuse or at best give pennies for. Kinda unfortunate but its either basically give them away or take a buck or less. I ended up donating a bunch of my old PS4 madden games because they are literally worth nothing. $3-4 shipped on eBay which pretty much equates to losing money.

True that. Here in Canada, Xbox 360 these days is a hard sell in general. $30/40 average for a complete system, loose, and that is if you manage to find an interested party. Thrift stores ate full of them, too.

There are some cool Genesis games there like Road Rash, Eternal Champions, and Streets of Rage, it's too bad they were bought by resellers instead of collectors who could have got a good deal on some nice games for their collections. Doing this has a parasitic impact on the retro gaming community because all it does is ultimately raise the price for someone who actually wants the games just because someone wanted to make money off of it. These guys aren't repairing or refurbishing anything, so they aren't adding anything of value to the items they're selling yet they still think they should be able to get money out of the process of getting a game from someone who wants part with something from a personal collection to someone who wants to add it to a personal collection. Entitled parasites is what these sleazy resellers are.
That is officially the norm now. I mean, that was an instant starter collection for any gamer who wanted Genesis stuff. You had NHL 94, SoR, SF II, Sonic 2. Some of the best.
Yeah dude it's a real shame. A lot of the popular UA-camrs say that their content has grown the gaming community and that may be true to an extent. But it's grown with people interested in making a profit. Not to play the games.

But tbh the Xbox 360 is the most donated console Ive ever seen. Not sure if it’s cause of the red ring issue or what but I see them regularly in thrift stores everywhere, usually in quantities, which means theres plenty of people out there willing to just give em away for $0 which is just wild to me, but I understand some people just view it as old/outdated tech. And if we're being honest here that one in the video looks like it was one spring cleaning away from getting yanked tf outta there and dropped off at Goodwill.. UA-cam resellers has created more resellers than ever. People don't realize how many resellers there are. I live in a small, small ass city and still see people scanning things at yard sales. It's insane. Toys is a whole other level that you may not have covered or understood. Since they are a bit hard to find anyways, people are always grabbing new toys in stores. There are still sonic toys I have never found cause resellers go and grab them any time they hit the pegs (cream, Infinite, Chaos) I literally have been to stores 40 times and never got some of the action figures, same for batman keaton action figure. I still don't have the keaton and I am a very avid action figure collector. New toys is worse than games in many ways, of course any game with value posted on ebay, fb etc is snatched up super fast if it's cheap. You'll never see them.
I deal with the Toy resellers/scalpers all of the time man. I buy wrestling figures and never find them in the wild. Have to buy them with slight markups from a FB group I'm in. Honestly don't mind a small markup there because those guys are good people and not there to rip your throat out. They're not the guys buying the cases before they hit the sales floor or anything like that either. They just get luckier than me in the wild.

I enjoyed it in the late 90's up to 2012 before I stopped. Anything I wanted was in stores and it was just an issue if I had enough funds to get them or not. Lot's of large cool Star Wars things as well and at decent prices, especially compared to now. If it isn't the price ripping my hole it is not being able to get them at all anyways.
The video game reselling scheme can't possibly hold for much longer... at this point it's dudes basically selling back and forth to each other with their "bulk" trades or deals... a true reseller is out to find the "end user/buyer"...these dudes buy then load their car up with boxes of shit to drive half way across the country to trade with another guy who also has boxes of shit...and then the cycle repeats itself... you have to wonder how much of this stuff is actually getting to a true end buyer....
