I’m a current member of the USAF Honor Guard Drill Team. Thank you so much for doing this video, I’m glad you enjoyed the team!!
Yeah Robby!! Hell yeah! GO AIR FORCE!! HUA!! Go get some!! 👍👍👍
The Air Force team is my favorite, they have a kind of swagger. They start out by encouraging the crowd to cheer to show that their focus won't waiver.
The fact that they can do all those moves with 10 lb M1 Garands is impressive. Also, the USAF drill team doesn’t mind if the crowd cheers and makes noise.
Sam Hopkins I’ve shot an M1 and they are heavy bastards. I, at 5’6”, got bucked around by the recoil, 30-06 is no joke. I found the M1’s little brother more enjoyable
@@maxwellharris507 Are you referring to the M1 Carbine as the ' little brother ' . My grandpa carried an M1 Carbine in the Korean War as a truck driver .
I think the Air Force was the most impressive one I’ve seen by far. I respect all of the branches that do this.
I was hoping you would get a chance to watch the USAF Drill Team. As an Air Force vet I am very proud of them. Thank you for covering these events.
Wow!! Just WOW!! As a former Army veteran, the Air Force really nails it. THANK YOU TO OUR AIR FORCE.
Our US Coast Guards should always be included. It is amazing what these men and women do and the training and courage it takes.
@5:35 - The level of trust / ice water in-the-veins is uncanny!! 👏 #SALUTE
Great video and great reaction...my son is in the AirForce stationed in San Antonio, Texas and about to be shipped to South Korea in May✈✈AirMan Evans...God Bless and protect all of our servicemen!!
They don't call em "The Flying Rifles" fer nothing.
Frank Morris i mean they are also called the “Chair Force” of the military branches 😂
@@NoThisIsPatrick. and the navy is gay
The Coast Guard Absolutely Counts. It is an Official and integrebile branch of the US military. The National Guard.as well.
My father joined the coast guard 1958 and he was stationed at St. Simons island for several years. Ran the office, underwater welder and of the course the normal everyday job, search and recuse. He loved it .
@@kimberlyparrish7522 I salute your father . I was navy . We once did drug interdction ops in the Caribbean with a CG Drug team , and caught a smuggler .
Victor Waddell thank you for your service as well ,my friend .Unfortunately he died In 1997 or I’d pass on salute from you. 🙂
The coast guard is part of the department of homeland security so no, it doesn't count
Rodney Griffin and now for the Space Force
Having grown up in an Air Force family, and spending long periods of my childhood on Air Force bases, I've had the pleasure of watching various Air Force drill teams performing in person over the years. ALWAYS impressive. I've never actually watched the Coast Guard drill team, so I would be curious to see them as well.
Excellent video, another reason that I am so proud to be an American. My father was in the Air Force and this display here and the ones by our other branches are a true reflection of all the hard work and sacrifice our troops and veterans have gave for our country, bless you all
That was at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC. In case you were wondering.
ohhh ok I didn't know that
Spot on, and the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial are an easy walk from there.
Ah, I thought it was the Lincoln Memorial and the water behind them was the reflecting pool. It's been a while since I've been to DC.
Came for the impressive drill team...stayed for Courtney's reaction.
Courtney, you get it. Dang girl, I tear up too. Our (talking about all the western countries) armed forces are awesomeness. We don't give them the appreciation they deserve.
I'll tell you - and this is coming from an Army veteran. While each branch gives crap to each other, everyone agrees that the Coast Guard is the red headed stepchild of the US military. React to them at your own peril!
lmao yeahhh i've heard a lot of crap thrown towards to the Coast Guard's direction lol. but i'll check them out :)
When you want to choose whose best but you know there will be some bias but honestly every branch looks amazing.
So you understand, the Marines are still under the Department of the Navy and the Air Force was born from the Army. As someone that served on an Air Force Honor Guard, I assure you, each branch does the duty with great fortitude and honor. It's a privilege to serve, but a greater privilege to serve those that serve with you.
ohhh that's interesting! I didn't know the Airforce was born from the Army. Wow that's amazing that you did this!
@@CourtneyCoulston mine was base level. This team is Air Force wide. The best of the best. You asked why so crisp, the AF is so attention to detail oriented it is ridiculous. All branches are detailed, but when making sure you cover those in the field with absolute accuracy it filters down. Your bf is aware of that if he served in combat and needed air support.
@@richardbell2882 the last line in the USAF Honor Guard creed is: "I vow to stand sharp, crisp, and motionless for I am a Ceremonial Guardsman."
Facts.. THWD
USCG Helicopter rescue swimmer AST A school 131-19 is a great class video to watch on some of the training and highlights of the greatest disaster rescue service there is
My son was a part of that Team for 3 years before he went to Iraq. Thanks for the support.
The Coast Guard most definitely counts. They conduct law enforcement and search and rescue operations in US waters, but they also deploy overseas. In fact, the U.S. Coast Guard has served in every conflict that the United States has been in since World War II. The landing craft that carried soldiers to the shores of Normandy were operated by Coasties, and so were the landing crafter used to transport Marines Iwo Jima and Okinawa. A Coast Guardsman received the Medal of Honor for action while extracting Marines off of Guadalcanal. The Coast Guard conducted blockades of the coast of Vietnam to stop supply chains to the Vietcong. They also used their patrol boats to patrol narrow rivers and canals, many Guardsmen saw action in Vietnam. Their primary duty in the Korean War was port security and conducted the same mission in both the first and second Gulf Wars. So yes, they do count.
Those are all so fun to watch and it's amazing how fast those guns get spinning!
The Coast Guard main duty is law enforcement of the sea and ports however they become part of the military during wartime
Being a U.S.A.F Vet myself, I must say I am biased in my favorite of the drill teams (*hint* it's the U.S.A.F.) Although I think the U.S.M.C has the best service dress of the branches I still love the U.S.A.F. Drill Team. I have been waiting on you to react to the A.F. one, just didn't know which video you were going to react to. I still think the one they did at the Norwegian Military Tattoo in 2012 is among the best. Thanks for this though. United States Air Force, 1999-2011.
Hi Courtney, I think you watched the best..They were so tight and exact with almost robotic movements. Thank you for this please keep re-acting you are the best!!
Just so you know the Air Force was the only branch that keeps the bayonet on while throwing the rifles when I was there. I was on that same Drill Team in the 90’s.
I stumbled onto your channel and have stayed to watch all the Drill teams also watched the Tomb of the unknowns really am hooked also love your reactions
Me too! 💯More people need to be reacting to these amazing performances and dedication to God and country. IMO
That was a very impressive exhibition.Re;Coast Guard...This branch of our military is the lesser known of the branches, but should still be considered. They provide the protection of America's coastlines.A very vital branch.
Big facts! I'll be sure to check them out :)
I still think the Air Force is the best. At the ending, the Marine Corps' reaction was like what did we just witness.
This brought back memories. In high school my dad was stationed to Washington, DC at Bolling FAB. Is where the team is based. A good friend of mine was on the team. As an Air Force kid, the drill team and flight show (Blue Angels, Golden Eagles) was a real highlight. Billing now is called Joint Base Bolling (Navy and Air Force). 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
It is funny. I was in the USAF for 20 years and only fired am M16 twice in my own career. ( I never fired a gun ever before or after since I retired in 2002). First in Basic Training with a 22 Round. I had 29 Bullets on the firing range and received an awarded MARKSMAN SHIP MEDAL for scoring high on the Firing range. The Range instructors counted the points and I went above the cut off for that Medal and they gave me my Target to take back to the Barracks for my personal achievement. Once I got there I counted the Holes in my Target. There were 33. LOL. An idiot on either side of me was firing at my target and helped me over the top. My Last time firing an M16 was in a room with a projector and Laser fired. about two years before I retired. If I had to use a rifle in combat ( and I was in a COMBAT COMMUNICATION SQUADRON) I probably would have shot myself. But I loved serving n the USAF. I miss it still. It was an Honor to serve. Eglin AFB Florida, 5 years in South Korea, 6 at Okinawa, 2 years at the Pentagon and 5 Years with the Georgia Air National Guard and later worked for the US ARMY HQ Command ( Telephone Communications Network ) as a Contractor for 7 years in Baghdad, Iraq. Camp Victory. Al Faw Palace. GO AIR FORCE people. The Technology Schools are excellent for a future Career.
My favorite! 😍 I've never seen any branch so freakishly on point! They were SO incredibly precise!!!
They were pretty darn good huh!!
The Air Force Honor Guard drill team will do drill moves that no other branch can pull off! 😎👌
i was waiting for this reaction just because i’m in the airforce😂😂
That's Air Force...two words! HUA!
I don't know how the algorithm put me here, but I'm glad it did. I dig the content.
The Air Force won the drill competition, what you most likely noticed different that you did not realize, they did all of that with an 18 inch knife on top of each rifle.
Fellow Airmen of MSgt John Chapman ..... Nothing but respect!!!
Hello Courtney ! After making a USCG Drill Team reaction , could you possibly react to the flight demonstration teams ? I'm speaking of the US Navy Blue Angels and the USAF Thunderbirds , and for our northern cousins the Royal Canadian Air Force Red Arrows . There also the parachute demonstration teams US Army Golden Knights and US Navy Leapfrogs. Thanks !
Imagine how much more efficient in combat they are if they are so detail oriented on this task
True!
@@CourtneyCoulston love your content btw
I was USAF honor guard from 94 to 95. It's just practice. You could do it if you can lift an M1. I did mainly funerals. Gun salute. Stuff like that . But sometimes there was a parade coming up and you had to train for drill team. Basically you just do the moves all day for months.
I really love your appreciation for our military, thank you. USAF 1987-1993, Security Police (now Security Forces).
Thank you Courtney. Now you know why I was so anxious for you to see them. I knew you would really enjoy them like I do. I might be biased since my brother was in the Air Force and I am a proud sister, but also they had bayonets on all their rifles the whole time.
You're welcome!! It was a really cool watch!! :)
I would love to see a Coast Guard drill team; my Father was in the Guard. Their primary job is search and rescue and patrol US shores. One story he told me he was posted on (one of the few) boats that had a gun on it. They (CG) weren't focused in offensives tasks and therefore not thoroughly trained on weapons. When a foreign ship got to close to US shores the went to fire a warning shot and accidentally blew off the top of their own boat. FYI the best CG assignment is at Lake Tahoe NV/CAL.
the coasties on maui got it pretty good
Can you imagine the hours it takes to get to this level of precision?
PikaPresSMC1 the pain, the blisters , the swollen hands all . Those rifles are super heavy
Countless hours and countless injuries, I did this in high school. Not to mention the upper body strength you need to pull off those tosses and throws
I don’t have to imagine I was on this team from 2013-15. It’s a lot
@@skepticalstrom6247 yes, that was the point of my original comment.
The Air Force wasn't established until after WWII, when they split off from the Army. The Army, Navy and Marines had at least 100 years to come up with an exhibition as entertaining.. That show was outstanding!!
J. Lewis wow that’s a great point!! I never thought about it like that
They looked great! Course I’m very partial as my dad was Army Air Corps during WWII. BTW Courtney. The US Coast Guard IS a branch of the US Militatry. 😺
*Is there another military in the world that has drill teams as sharp our the United States Drill Teams, not even close!!* *We celebrate all our men and women in uniform, they are exceptional patriots and defenders of our values in freedom and our liberties that God has given us!!* *Thank you Courtney for sharing this video that makes us even more proud of our military!!*
as a USAF Vet, thank you for this. fly fight win!
Well the Coast Guard is part of America's armed forces and what they do is taken for granted, so I'm up for some Coast Guard action 😁
Agreed. We in the other services may call them 'knee deep sailors' but we always expect just as good or better thrown back at us. ;)
Moreththerogue yeah that is military banter we all shit on each others branch but it is for fun 99% of the time.
How can you not cheer something so impressive? I am a civilian. I don't have that level of self control.
They’re not the military. They’re homeland security. They do not fall under department of defense. Never have.
@@Mikey-ym6ok Awfully nice of the DOD to let the coast guard have their website end in .mil & let them have military awards
Love your content, keep the great work up!!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! 🙏🏼
The Marines have the best uniforms, no doubt.
But that USAF Honor Guard Drill Team just rocks. All members toss their M-1 Rifles into the air (double side spin), wow! Marines can’t touch that.
As a retired DoD Civilian, the majority of my career spent working for the Air Force, I approve! ☺️
That's called the Joint Services Drill Team Competition (JSDTC) held at the Jefferson Memorial during the Cherry Blossom Festival It's held in April
As an Army Vet, the Coast Guard absolutely counts.
Got it 💪🏼🙌🏼
And throwing there weapons in there air is so impressive because they have bayonets at the end of them and they need to train for months even a whole year to perfect this
Good reaction. You're right. They're all good. And, yes, the Navy drill team routine was spectacular.
I agree when an audience member yelled out you nailed it! Beautiful! ❤️🇺🇸
You should have a review of the US Coast Guard honor guard. Yeah, yeah I'm sure people are gonna say, their not part of the US Military.
However, under 14 U.S.C. § 3 as amended by section 211 of the Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Act of 2006, upon the declaration of war and when Congress so directs in the declaration, or when the President directs, the Coast Guard operates as a service in the Department of the Navy.
I would be curious to see Courtney's reaction on meeting U.S. service members in full dress/ceremonial uniform in real life...
You have got to love those M1 Grands.
Courtney I've several of your videos for the first time this morning and I have enjoyed them however you need to do a react video on the PBR worst wrecks.
They handle those rifles pretty well for a branch of the military that really only uses them during basic training. ;) (and guard duty) :D
You should check out the Navy's Blue Angels...drill team in the air. We love them in Seattle! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This video was so amazing
UA-cam has more videos USAF Drill Team performances! Professional close up videos of drill teams. Thank you for your videos!
The best part is that “the man in the middle” is their commander, a commissioned officer.
*PASSING THE WEAPON BACK AND FORTH AND AROUND ABOUT WAS SPECTACULAR!!* *AND THE TOUCHING OF THE BANKNOTE ON THE BACK OF THE INSPECTING OFFICER WAS AN ADDED BONUS!!* *WAS BEAUTIFUL IN EVERY SENSE!!! ;-)* *I'VE NEVER SEEN ANY OTHER NATION WITH THEIR COMBINED BRANCHES HAVING A DRILL TEAM, THE U.S. IS THE ONLY ONE THAT i KNOW OF!!* 👏 👏 👏 *
You need to check out the Navy blue Angels Air Force Thunderbirds they are fighter jet drill teams
Thank you for your sincere appreciation. And it's not nerve racking to them at all. Every one of those men trust each other with their very lives without question. Duty and honor
I am a U.S Army Vet and I like the Air Force the best, but the Jar Heads ( Marines ) are good.
That’s why the Air Force is the best! Though I may be biased because I live in an Air Force town.
You should react to bootcamp for all the other branches starting with either Air Force or Army. 👌🏽
P.S.- Love your videos & I hope you're staying safe. 😁💛
I am not too sure that I could be 100% impartial since I am retired Navy. But these fly fly boys are pretty damn good.
Each branch's drill team has it's own qualities, and all of them are unique to their branch of service. I am ex Air Force, however I don't think any of the other branches can compare to the Marine Corps Silent Drill Team, and I've seen all the branches teams in person.
Yo, check out the Citadel Summerall Guards. Also check out the Citadel Regimental Band and Pipes.
Check out john jay ex squad by the streetelite. High school jrotc drill teams can be an interesting sight to see depending on the unit
Simply AMAZING!!
*OF COURSE, ABSOLUTELY INCLUDE THE COAST GUARD, THEY MAY SURPRISE EVEN THE DREADFUL ALIENS!! ;-)* *HAHAHA!!* 😁
Great vids! You’re the only reaction channel I subscribe to. I know several people suggested the Aggie band to you as did I and I loved that vid. Keep up the great job! This was a great video and come to Texas one day. We’d love to have you !
Hi Greg! Thanks so much for subbing to my channel, it's super appreciated and i'm glad you enjoy my videos :) I really wanna come to Texas one day! The closest I got to visiting Texas was just a layover at Dallas airport haha. One day!! :)
Go Air Force.....
Coast Guard are the unsung military heroes. The Guardsmen are like Navy Seals. Very very tough and dedicated.
There's literally no unit in the USCG that are like the SEALs
The USAF came from the Army. We learned early to pay attention to the simple things to accomplish the larger things
Have you watched the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier?
The Drum Corps riffles got their base routines from the military.
I'm not sure if you're interested in American History but if you are, you should watch "Civil War: American History in HD" From: McKeow Tube. It focuses on the American Civil war from 1861-1865.
No one on the USMC Silent drill team gives any type of commands. No hand signals or other wise.
I am bias but have to go with the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon. They are also Infantryman which makes them a bit more badass.
Nah. I won't hold it against them that they're grunts! But, they don't get "brownie" points, or crayon points either! 😂😂😂
Hours and hours of practice go into this...
And untold hours with a rubber chicken
rifle weight around damn near 10 lbs
that's crazy. it really puts in into perspective how amazing these routines are
Courtney Coulston what’s your ranking between the 4 military branches?
I wonder if the new Space Patrol has an Honor Guard.
United States Space Force is under the Department of the Air Force.
React to “Losing a friend in combat WWII memories” it’s an amazing video
oh man, this video sounds emotional :'(
It is indeed emtional.
Navy drill team completed the most difficult drill techniques.
AF was the best. Now you need to watch "stripes" graduation scene
You would like the Navy’s Sea Chanters.
found your channel on mistake, but i watched a few, i like your reactions, keep on going girl..... Former Marine EOD
*IT'S A 4-WAY TIE...THEY'VE ALL EARNED A FIRST PLACE AS AMERICA'S BEST OF THE BEST DRILL TEAMS!! ;-)*
Courtney, I just watched the Coast Guard drill team..They have the only female on the team that I have ever seen..It was shown on You-Tube and there was an oops ! The first time I have seen a drop of a weapon..It was handled smoothly check it out...
Since the Coast Guard is usually the first one in the COM bad he definitely count
Lol there's no way your fiance doesn't laugh at the air force from time to time hahaha.
