Nice I been following your page due to the fact that you show beginners how to do stuff in real time. I really enjoy this set because I'm a drum and bass DJ myself, And watching you has helped me out with little things you do to convent myself to a CONTROLLER . I been playing on some 1200's and a Ves 505 mixer for 20+yrs and have about 2500 records, now I got a Roland dj505 and I been watching you, it has helped a old school dj move over to a midi controller. The controller seem to allows you to get a funky with it with the loop feat. And so many effects. This just truly shows the skills it takes to be a dj..Thanks for the music and the performance😁😁😁😁😁 ps I love the dj505 but so badly want the 808.. hehe😄😄
Wicked set, would love to see a step by step series of how you made this mix! Would massively help many learners like my self. 🤙
We haven’t got this set covered however we have many mix breakdowns available in our DJ Hub: wearecrossfader.co.uk/dj-hub
No one talking about 16:32? Acid Fashion into the Roll The Dice was perfect!
Well, the potential is there but imho it's executed rather poorly. Could've kept the Acid Fashion loop on for longer to support the mids on Roll the Dice and then fade it out during the buildup right before the drop.
But that might be personal preference ✌️
Watching a great set on a beginner controller is inspiring. I learned so much from watching this, many thanks!
Too much stock put into the quality of equipment. Decent EQ, pitch control, and crossfader all you really need. Hot loop features, FX, etc., help, but not necessary.
Great vid man, after six months i'm starting to find my feet with dj'ing and have my first performance next week so this is a great inspiration thank you!
That acapella transition, daaaaamn.
I see this guy is a pretty big fan of High Contrast
Why wouldnt you be, hes a genius
@@beatadecay_4422 Agreed, his new album was one of the best albums of 2020 in my opinion.
Return of Forever was the track that got me absolutely hooked on drum and bass back in 2000. Still one of my favourite tracks!
Also playing more tracks from the same artist most of the times is a bit easier because the tracks mostly have similar timings and nuances
Aren’t we all
I have a DDJ400 myself, very inspiring!
some amazing double droppin transitions. You've inspired me to sneak my 400 into work tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a slow Friday cause I'll be busy slacking off in my headphones.
Haha 😂
Learnt a lot from this mix! Please more stuff like this!
Dude is straight up throwing down fire in this one
The last one was actually pretty nice
SO HELPFUL AND AMAZING THANK U SO MUCH
Hopefuly I'll get skills like that in near future
Don't be so pessimistic.
Banging little mix
Wish I had the choice of this controller when I first started! Has everything you need to go from bedroom to clubs looks amazing
RWB as someone who just bought the DDj 400, I am pretty damn stoked to read people saying stuff like this
@@carsonlove531 How far have you progressed in 2 years bro?
I have this controller , best controller under 250. i love it
This was a dope mix
Great mix learnt a lot
Very nice set! I have the same deck at home. I was wondering how to make a pull up for a track sound smoother... mine always sound horrible XD
great one! would be nice to also see effect sellected
Loving it!👍
This is awesome dude, could you let me know where you get your instrumental and acapella tracks from please?
Please make more videos with Roland dj 202
the finish.... OMG...!!!!!
Nice mix, really enjoyed it, having said that though i do miss people not just getting straight on the decks and hitting record and uploading "live" mixes so to speak, like I say i'm not having a dig because I really enjoyed the mix.
What would be really cool and what I think is a good idea would be to have say 5 djs go b2b one track each across different genres. See what people come up with, different music styles and transitions. I mean like reggae, dnb, house, funk/soul disco whatever just mashup b2b one track each no precue points or harmonic mixing (unless you get lucky on your mix.)
Stevie T DJ and Disco Hire York it’s not easy to go from 175 to 80bpm
Can someone link me the remind me instrumental!? Wanna chuck it in my sets!!
do you have your eq set to isolater or eq?
How do you get the instrumentals?
That last transition tho
7:29 transition was maddddd
why you play 1time on 87 and next on 174 ?? i know 87x2 is 174 but why not both on 174 ??
You are dope🙆🙆👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙌

How do u make it so that the tempo adjustment goes up or down less rapidly. Is there some setting to change this? Thanks
On rekordbox, below the BPM number, click on the red bit until you find the setting you want
First song name?
Love the set! Where you download music from? Beatport?
My dad rips cds
Arrasooooou !
I hope that everyone who watches this gets Just This One Thing:
It ain’t about the gear. It’s never about the gear!
It’s about the MUSIC and how the DJ PRESENTS the music.
Rant over.
I did wonder about one thing though. There were times where the DJ was spinning the jog wheels like a madman and I really did not see the beat markers move very much at all. Sometimes I swear they DIDN’T move.
Was I seeing things? What was going on??
i didn't notice ... can you time stamp this
It ain't bout the gear, it's about the musican's ears.
I mean the jog wheels are used to beatmatch and temporarily slow or speed up the song by miniscule amounts, so it's hard as a viewer to see the beat markers move at all
During the song around the 3:00 to 4:00, I saw him move the jog wheel like four different times on the looping track even though it was already lined up pretty damn well. Honestly sometimes I wonder if it isn’t just because it keeps you in a rhythm of constantly doing stuff so that you stay “sharp” the whole time. Otherwise the jog wheel stuff was just nonsense
@@carsonlove531 He slightly moves the track so the beat matches up as they are slightly out of synch, this is called beatmatching, its a very basic skill every DJ should learn.
Damn now I see every dj has their own way of mixing, I mix very fast and change tracks quickly while he gives the track way more air time. I'm out here changing and switching tracks every 16 beats lmao
Tracklist?
This is dank
Crossfader where can I find the instrumental of remind me can't find it anywhere please help
Did you end up finding it?
@@mux3499 no
Oh man that was the fastest 17 minutes of my life
Hmm, what kind of DJ has an unreleased remix of Ingrid is a hybrid?
It was released officially, just on DIMENSION's Fabriclive mix, its a great mix.
Question- How to pick next track from playlisty so fast?
Its already prepared mate
i did a dancefloor dnb '22 mix for 1h using this exact same controller in this video, you can check it out in my channel if you want to know how it can actually sound.
@4:44
Are crab scratches ok to do on this controller or does it have a alot of slack opening and closing the crossfader? Love you mix as usually though! DnB is my jam! :D
you can adjust the crossfader within the software to .03 cut. so crabs sound great . or you can leave it at the 1.0mm if you prefer
🕺🕺
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Beginner controller?!? I wish it was
the spinning of the jog wheel in the wrong direction in the first minute was aggravating
Model name
tamil status boy ddj-400 it says on the controller
@@benlee3342 25000 RS
Why did u fast forward the video?
It's pains me why he just doesn't use beat sync
What's the point of even DJing
1st
Why the constant jogging?
They nudge the tracks slightly to keep them on beat, because they're not exactly the same tempo.
