1992: two Stanton beginner turntables, belt drive. Two slip mates, two needles Stanton. One Gemini mixer with beat counter. One dual tape deck, one portable cd player, ultra mix sampler records and breaks. One Akai tape deck. 15 crates, 2 copies of it takes two. Oh and my uncle's old home stereo with those 15 woofers. No efx no eq no sync and no rules. Just a break a scratch and 3am. Now all of that inside one slate. Crazy.
If this video does anything, it proves hardware isn’t as important as skill. In the hands of a master, any price point hardware will enable the DJ to KILL IT!!
@@HAIDAYY my opinion doesn't mean anything but they probably not going to touch it for a few reasons, one being they already have a better rig, two being it doesn't have its own soundcard and the midi controller is bluetooth which has a bit of lag not enough to be noticeable. It's still very capable peace of equipment for the price point and some of those pros might give in and get one if not for anything else I could see this being great for practicing on a bus, in car, maybe even a plane with some headphones on.

I agree. Skilled DJ can rock on any piece of equipment. But, this is an interesting way for anyone to dip into the pool and elevate simple one song after another mixes into some with pizzazz.

I have had one of these for about a year which I started of using an android tablet with Wedj all cables u need come in the box. But I find it much better to use plugged into a laptop and using rekordbox plus it's hardware unlocked too so u don't need to buy a plan with it. I love my DDJ200 and will definitely see me thru till I upgrade my gear in a yr or so 👍👍👍

Would be great to see some tutorials of live events such as a club where you read the club, perhaps similar to laid-back luke in terms of explaining your transitions and reading the crowd.

Even pros will have a use for this...Not for their pro gigs of course but for those moments like an unexpected pool party with your crew, killing time and experiment with your set on a long ass airplane flight or a last minute sunset yacht party, etc.

Was on the fence between this and the DDJ 400 but I feel like if I can master the 200 like you just have and want to get more serious THEN i will invest in more expensive equipment. Thanks!

Man when I first started practising early 2021 I was using ddj 200 with wedj and had no idea until now there was so much more I could've done. I should've played around more. Saved up for a laptop to dj and now use rekordbox but this makes me wanna do both just for fun. Crazy mix wow esp the first part had to keep running that back

There must be a way to record as I’m using the DJAY app with my ddj200’s and mixing music off soundcloud but it will not allow me to record via this app . I’m running the decks off my ipad is there any way of recording a set so I can then upload my mix’s . Of course with normal decks you can use a sound card but I know you can’t do this with the ddj200’s . Can anyone help me in any way please . I would greatly appreciate it
