Cake Decorating Tutorial- Easy Drip Cake

- When your friends love the back to basics! Here we have a cake design that never seems to disappoint- The Ganache Drip Cake. I created the buttercream and the ganache separately, and then mixed a small amount of ganache into the buttercream to achieve that muted chocolate tone in the frosting. How much you add is completely up to you, depending on the colour you would like to achieve :)
For the ganache, I mixed:
300 grams of dark chocolate (Nestle is my go to)
120 grams heavy cream (normally I add 1 part cream to 3 parts chocolate, but I wanted this ganache to be a little more runny, so I added an extra 20 grams of heavy cream).
Mix the two ingredients together, microwave for 30 seconds and stir to combine. If you still have small chocolate pieces, just microwave the lot again for an extra 10 seconds and stir until all the chocolate is completely melted.
The gold dust that I used here is super gold by Rolkem (100% edible). I hope you guys enjoy this little guy! xx
