I've been raised a christian but I never took it as seriously as I should've. I'm now 15 years old and I'm learning so much about the bible and I feel like I'm really developing a relationship with God. I love it! But before reading your bible you should pray for an understanding and then I also pray as soon as I'm done reading my bible. Hope this helps! :))

Well I’m 60 yrs old. I was a truck driver till aug 2019. To make a long story short I was on my way home and my truck broke down. I was legally parked 13 feet from the travel lane and another semi hit me doing 70mph. If he hadn’t hit me he would of hit the toll booth and would of killed whoever was in it. The other driver walked away from the accident. I had a brain bleed and the doctors told me I was extremely lucky because most people either die on the scene or in the hospital. I have to have surgery on my back and both my shoulders. One of my main problems is my memories the only I can remember is about truck driving. I don’t remember high school or nothing like that in my past. Well I bought a bible and started reading it. I read about 20 pages a day. And I try to pray every day. I’m over halfway in reading the Bible. What I don’t understand is how much is a chapter. I have an incredible urge now to read the Bible and go to church now after I have my back surgery. I only watch Christian tv shows. Do you have any suggestions on praying or anything. Ty

My life was so confusing an had no purpose until I decided to know God and his life and how he became. Then I wanted to study the bible and know his history and people in it. I'm so glad I found you. This is very helpful for me knowing how to connect him by study his word of love.

@@storidavis3305 well for one always know that something cant come from nothing we are a creation and its clear as day God left us the bible so that we would know not only did he give us the bible but he sent his one and only son Jesus Christ who died fro our sins taking punishment in our place was buried and resurrected 3 days later by God have faith in your heart and call upon the name of the Lord U don't have to be religious because God is not just in the religion category but he is our creator and he will hear you also do not be confused by people preaching other gospels other then the one u accepted the bible says that😘❤

I used to be Catholic, didn't really go to church, didn't really believed in God 100%. Then my dad died when I was 11, my grandma died 4 months after it, and I became an atheist, I "hated" God, I blamed God, I literally couldn't stand in a church or near someone that was willing to try to talk to me about Christ. I went through a lot of difficulties during this time. Then out of nowhere at 15 (almost 16) I had this "feeling" and I tried to give this "Jesus thing" a shot... and well, I am now a christian and learning every day more, my mom became christian as well (waaay before me) and my bf is a catholic (he's more a christian but he doesn't even realize) and I just... God saved me, He changed my life... and I was just looking for some online study group or smt and your vid came up so yeah, that's it
She just has such a great personality. It's something I wish I could have but I can only have a great personality, a portion of the time. I also like how dedicated she is, I've never been that dedicated with anything in my life. I always quit when it gets too hard. Even in video games, I'll lower the difficulty without even making an effort to just get better at the game. It's something that I'm trying to change about me so that I can actually get through things both real and on games.

I just gave my grand-daughter a Bible for her 18th birthday and I'm so going to send her your channel. I want her to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. I've been serving Jesus since 1987 and I have some advise for you, never, never say that you don't have a testimony. I remember my Son when he was probably 18 told me the same thing and I reminded him and I'm reminding you that you guys have the best testimony. Your testimony is .that God has kept you and you have not been tarnish by the things of this world. How cool and awesome is that!! He has preserved you! My son kept himself pure till the age of 22 when he got married to his lovely wife who also had kept herself pure. This is something that is so rare these days but with Jesus is possible. So my dear you have an awesome testimony of God's keeping power upon your life. Take care.

livvy 09 there’s actually a ton of different genres of Christian music. Skillet is a rock band that’s really good if you want to punch them into pandora. Or even type in there Christian ______. There’s Christian rap stations, pop, etc. also I turned off the explicit stuff

I've been a believer since 1984, however I didn't start to understand the Bible until my late 20's. Since March 2015 I've been doing deep study of all 66 books of the Bible based on my Sunday school lessons. I'm now an assistant teacher for my Sunday School adult class. John is a good place to start despite it being the most cerebral of the four gospels. John presents Jesus as the Son of God and stresses His divine nature and deity more than the other three. It has no parables, stresses the relationship between the Father and Son and its theme is love. I have so many resources and handouts to help me with my Bible study that it's not even funny. I'm a teacher by profession so studying for me is a no brainer! God bless! I think I'll go read my Sunday School lesson 😁😁!!

One thing people who are starting to study needs to remember, you don't have rules to follow when you study. Everyone is different. Some people only highlights verses that are important/meaningful in that moment. Some people highlight the bullet points of the story. I highlight the parts of the story so that if I look back I can just read my highlights and know the story again. Its all up to you. I even draw pictures in my bible, some people don't write in theirs at all. Some people read cover to cover in order, some people just pick books randomly. It's all up to you.

I’m beginning to try to get them into Bible studies, and so far one of my friends have. It makes me feel so happy to know I’m sharing the word of God, and doing some of the same actions Jesus did. I definitely encourage doing this, it’s gotten me through a really rough time.

I found you when this video popped (I’ve been looking for a simple way to study the Bible and get connected to God) and because I need Jesus back in my life(BAD) I need to get my behind back in gear because on Sunday I went to my friend’s church(I had never been before) and I had a fantastic experience with God, so I just need to keep going and keep the relationship close.

Wow! This is definitely your best video by far. I love it though I'm a Muslim. It helped me realise that it's high time to make small steps to get closer to Almighty. I studied in an all girls' Catholic School for 14 years and we would actively participate in Christmas and Easter Celebrations. The bonding was great. The school respected our faith and wished us on our festivals.. This world can be a better place. Let's keep spreading love and positivity! ❤

I used to be non-religious, but recently I've taken a strong interest in Christianity, and i've been reading the bible, and looking up things online: lessons, pastors and regular people giving advice. This was one of the videos that I stumbled upon...but I also just thought that you might enjoy knowing that you are having an impact by getting your voice out there to people who are interested in Christianity. Depression and OCD mixed with Presbyterian Christianity broke my mind for years. I was miserable from age 6-13 because I was so terrified. The Bible and the church hurt me VERY badly. However, I still believe in God and I want a better relationship with him. I am now 15, and I’m about to try to dig back into my bible. It is going to hurt, but I am going to try. Pray for me please!

This is something that I really needed today. I need to set aside time for God and his word. I am a Christian and got saved when I was around 10 or 11 years old heading home from church one night. I asked my mom how do you get saved. She told me first I need to admit that I am a sinner, second to Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ that he died on the cross for our sins and rose again and he is alive. And finally confess of your sins and ask him to come into my heart. Even though I am saved and once saved always saved I still fall short. But I know one thing when God comes back to get his children, I will follow. God has did some much for me and I am grateful.

I am a freshmen right now and I have really started to take my faith seriously even though I've grown up in the church my whole life. My parents got divorced and I fell away from God but now I am trying to grow closer to him and I will defidently be trying some of your tips to read the bible more. I'm 14 and I've wanted to start bible study on my own and I watched so many videos on how and where to start and your video is the most helpfull thanks so much.
For a while now I’ve had my bible on my nightstand and I plan on reading it every day, but whenever I reach for it I start to feel guilty for all of my sins. And I’ve tried going to church and a youth group, but I still feel so guilty for my past actions and thoughts. But watching your video really just got me thinking. I really want to make a change in my life and be more religious and you’ve helped me a bit

It is so refreshing and encouraging to find somebody your age who is so in love with Jesus, and is willing to say so. And, while you may be “all over the place “, at least you’re SOMEWHERE. There are so few young people who profess to know Jesus, that I feel comfortable saying that about. But your excitement about your relationship with Him is obvious and your zeal for sharing His love is contagious. Ok, first things first... Love your authenticity! Keep it real, man! I started out in high school too. I hung out with a bunch of burnt out Levi and granny dressing hippies who had found Jesus, Jesus People (One way, baby!). Mine has been a long journey. I was taken with the first century Christians who were sharing meals on a daily basis and taking care of each other. I also wanted to feel a connection with the Christians that inhabited the catacombs. Anyway, I found myself praying about 4 or 5 yrs ago about this. I thought if the denomination Peter and Paul belonged to still existed and He could make me aware of it, I would RUN to it. After lots of research and prayer l actually found my church after decades of waiting, Eastern Orthodoxy! Anyway, that's my story. You remind me of Charles Wesley of Methodist "fame." "Chuck" was Church of England which was huge. A member was lost in it and Wesley believed that spiritual growth could only take place in a small intimate group with support, prayer, and accountability. He formed these small groups within this huge church and called them bans. Church members recognized him as having a "method" and him and His Episcopalian followers began to be called methodists because of the method they followed. Enough of that. I love Bible study. I do an inductive form. I engage in verse mapping, I perform a word study, and then I refer to my Thompson Chain Reference. After I have compared scriptures I check out my study Bibles and commentary. I record thoughts as I go and synthesize ideas. I finish with an application. Anyway, that's my technique. I love my Bible. It is a Humble Lamb NKJV sigle column reference Bible with margin references. There's no room for notes, so I trim printer paper to fit and add them as extra pages when I need to make notes in it, but for extensive study, I do have a journal for that. I have another journal that I copy passages in from various books including my Bible. Anyway, I stumbled on to your vid and am always interested to see what techniques others use. i'm having trouble believing, do you have any tips? I've never been super religious but i really want the relationship that others have with god but i can't help but go back to science and I start questioning everything.
@@storidavis3305 well for one always know that something cant come from nothing we are a creation and its clear as day God left us the bible so that we would know not only did he give us the bible but he sent his one and only son Jesus Christ who died fro our sins taking punishment in our place was buried and resurrected 3 days later by God have faith in your heart and call upon the name of the Lord U don't have to be religious because God is not just in the religion category but he is our creator and he will hear you also do not be confused by people preaching other gospels other then the one u accepted the bible says that😘❤

I used to be Catholic, didn't really go to church, didn't really believed in God 100%. Then my dad died when I was 11, my grandma died 4 months after it, and I became an atheist, I "hated" God, I blamed God, I literally couldn't stand in a church or near someone that was willing to try to talk to me about Christ. I went through a lot of difficulties during this time. Then out of nowhere at 15 (almost 16) I had this "feeling" and I tried to give this "Jesus thing" a shot... and well, I am now a christian and learning every day more, my mom became christian as well (waaay before me) and my bf is a catholic (he's more a christian but he doesn't even realize) and I just... God saved me, He changed my life... and I was just looking for some online study group or smt and your vid came up so yeah, that's it

She just has such a great personality. It's something I wish I could have but I can only have a great personality, a portion of the time. I also like how dedicated she is, I've never been that dedicated with anything in my life. I always quit when it gets too hard. Even in video games, I'll lower the difficulty without even making an effort to just get better at the game. I've been serving Jesus since 1987 and I have some advise for you, never, never say that you don't have a testimony. I remember my Son when he was probably 18 told me the same thing and I reminded him and I'm reminding you that you guys have the best testimony. Your testimony is .that God has kept you and you have not been tarnish by the things of this world. How cool and awesome is that!! He has preserved you! My son kept himself pure till the age of 22 when he got married to his lovely wife who also had kept herself pure. This is something that is so rare these days but with Jesus is possible. So my dear you have an awesome testimony of God's keeping power upon your life. Take care.

livvy 09 there’s actually a ton of different genres of Christian music. Skillet is a rock band that’s really good if you want to punch them into pandora. Or even type in there Christian ______. There’s Christian rap stations, pop, etc. also I turned off the explicit stuff

I've been a believer since 1984, however I didn't start to understand the Bible until my late 20's. Since March 2015 I've been doing deep study of all 66 books of the Bible based on my Sunday school lessons. I'm now an assistant teacher for my Sunday School adult class. John is a good place to start despite it being the most cerebral of the four gospels. John presents Jesus as the Son of God and stresses His divine nature and deity more than the other three. It has no parables, stresses the relationship between the Father and Son and its theme is love. I have so many resources and handouts to help me with my Bible study that it's not even funny. I'm a teacher by profession so studying for me is a no brainer! God bless! I think I'll go read my Sunday School lesson 😁😁!!

One thing people who are starting to study needs to remember, you don't have rules to follow when you study. Everyone is different. Some people only highlights verses that are important/meaningful in that moment. Some people highlight the bullet points of the story. I highlight the parts of the story so that if I look back I can just read my highlights and know the story again. Its all up to you. I even draw pictures in my bible, some people don't write in theirs at all. Some people read cover to cover in order, some people just pick books randomly. It's all up to you.

I’m beginning to try to get them into Bible studies, and so far one of my friends have. It makes me feel so happy to know I’m sharing the word of God, and doing some of the same actions Jesus did. I definitely encourage doing this, it’s gotten me through a really rough time.

I studied in an all girls' Catholic School for 14 years and we would actively participate in Christmas and Easter Celebrations. The bonding was great. The school respected our faith and wished us on our festivals..

I used to be non-religious, but recently I've taken a strong interest in Christianity, and i've been reading the bible, and looking up things online: lessons, pastors and regular people giving advice.
This was one of the videos that I stumbled upon...but I also just thought that you might enjoy knowing that you are having an impact by getting your voice out there to people who are interested in Christianity.

Depression and OCD mixed with Presbyterian Christianity broke my mind for years. I was miserable from age 6-13 because I was so terrified. The Bible and the church hurt me VERY badly. However, I still believe in God and I want a better relationship with him. I am now 15, and I’m about to try to dig back into my bible. It is going to hurt, but I am going to try. Pray for me please!

This is something that I really needed today. I need to set aside time for God and his word. I am a Christian and got saved when I was around 10 or 11 years old heading home from church one night. I asked my mom how do you get saved. She told me first I need to admit that I am a sinner, second to Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ that he died on the cross for our sins and rose again and he is alive. And finally confess of your sins and ask him to come into my heart. Even though I am saved and once saved always saved I still fall short. But I know one thing when God comes back to get his children, I will follow. God has did some much for me and I am grateful.

I am a freshmen right now and I have really started to take my faith seriously even though I've grown up in the church my whole life. It is so refreshing and encouraging to find somebody your age who is so in love with Jesus, and is willing to say so. And, while you may be “all over the place “, at least you’re SOMEWHERE. There are so few young people who profess to know Jesus, that I feel comfortable saying that about. Ok, first things first... Love your authenticity! Keep it real, man! I started out in high school too. I hung out with a bunch of burnt out Levi and granny dressing hippies who had found Jesus, Jesus People (One way, baby!). Mine has been a long journey. I was taken with the first century Christians who were sharing meals on a daily basis and taking care of each other. I also wanted to feel a connection with the Christians that inhabited the catacombs. Anyway, I found myself praying about 4 or 5 yrs ago about this. I thought if the denomination Peter and Paul belonged to still existed and He could make me aware of it, I would RUN to it. After lots of research and prayer l actually found my church after decades of waiting, Eastern Orthodoxy! Anyway, that's my story. You remind me of Charles Wesley of Methodist "fame." "Chuck" was Church of England which was huge. A member was lost in it and Wesley believed that spiritual growth could only take place in a small intimate group with support, prayer, and accountability. He formed these small groups within this huge church and called them bans. Church members recognized him as having a "method" and him and His Episcopalian followers began to be called methodists because of the method they followed. Enough of that. I love Bible study. I do an inductive form. I engage in verse mapping, I perform a word study, and then I refer to my Thompson Chain Reference. After I have compared scriptures I check out my study Bibles and commentary. I record thoughts as I go and synthesize ideas. I finish with an application. Anyway, that's my technique. I love my Bible. It is a Humble Lamb NKJV sigle column reference Bible with margin references. There's no room for notes, so I trim printer paper to fit and add them as extra pages when I need to make notes in it, but for extensive study, I do have a journal for that. I have another journal that I copy passages in from various books including my Bible. Anyway, I stumbled on to your vid and am always interested to see what techniques others use.
