I have designed this hands-on course to provide you an intense yet enjoyable instructional experience that focuses on a large number of both introductory and advanced topics in SEM using the latest version of one of the most well-known software package, IBM AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structures). In this course I will provide the materials and instruction that you need to both develop a good understanding of SEM and to be able to thoughtfully apply a variety of basic and advanced models to your data. More specifically, this course will cover a broad range of topics such as
    • data preparation,
    • model development,
    • model fit assessment using various indexes,
    • construct reliability and validity assessment using various methods,
    • different methods to improve your model,
    • structural model assessment,
    • hypothesis testing,
    • mediation using Baron and Kenny approach
    • mediation using Sobel test
    • mediation using bootstrapping method
    • moderation,
    • and multi-group analysis

Thanks lot, Prof. Sharif, I have finished watched all the series of AMOS videos, they have helped a lot, when I am doing my dissertations. very detailed infos, and clear logic.
I am doing an intercultural measurement invariance test, I hope you could share some techniques of how to sustain a good cross national invariance analysis in the future.
Thank you again for all the efforts that you put on those videos.

Thanks Dr Sharif for the tutorial. Can we use the standardised regression weights to determine the group with the highest score? It is omnibus to just state that two groups differ, but we may want to show which group exerted the highest effect. Is there a way we can identify the group with the highest effect? or can we use the values of the beta or the R squared differences to determine this?

There are three independent variables and one dependent variable in my research. How do I find the R squared value in each independent variable's description of a dependent variable?

Thank you for your video. Is it possible to use categorial variables with more levels (i.e., not only 2 levels like gender: either male or female; but more than two livels like "faculty", e.g., mathematics, psychology, engineering etc.)????

    Dear Professor,
I need your expert advice, in my study I am trying to investigate relationship between between Food Safety training and knowledge score, in Structural Equation Modelling. Here independent variable is Food Safety training is having 2 groups: Yes and No.
And dependent variable Knowledge, is having is lickert scale data.
My question is, since there are many statements under knowledge factor and I would like to compare means on overall knowledge score with food safety training in CFA, is it possible if yes then do I need to create any single variable by computing all the statements.

Hello Professor, when I want to test specific paths in my model. However, in one instance Amos found a negative error variance in an unconstrained model. If p value is significant, is there a way to justify this under this condition?

This channel is one of the wonderful ones on UA-cam analysis. I am wondering how to perform a structural model for TWO multi-categorical independent variables (First independent Variable: Hight vs. Low) and (Second independent Variable: Positive vs. Negative), moderated by FOUR categorical moderator variables (Moderator: T vs. P vs. AV. vs. AU). I hope to get your guide Dr Saeed sharif.

Thank you for your comment. The categorical independent variables should be converted into some dummy variables and included in the model. If the categorical moderators have more than 2 values can be compared pairwise. It means each pair of the values separately. Btw, for models with more than one moderator, constructing the model equations can be so helpful.

Could you answer my question please?
I have no normal data when use bootstrap in amos to analysis the multigroup I find mistake because bootstrap and standarized not complete the analysis.
Is that correct to result standarised without bootstrap and add bootstrap table result?

    Hi Dr Sharif,
Thank you so much for these AWESOME videos! They have been extremely useful to me.
Kindly advise, if my model has 4 independent variables with 3 continuous and 2 categorical moderators (both moderators are 0/1 e.g., male/female, educated/not educated), is it correct if I run the model thus:
    Endogenous variables:
    - All 4 independent variables,
    - Each of the 4 independent variables X 4 grouping variables for each of the 2 categorical moderators
    - Standardized values of each of the 4 independent variables X each of 3 continuous moderators
The problem I encountered with the above model is I do not know how to get the results for 1 of the 4 categorical moderators (eg male uneducated). I can get results for male or educated, but not for male AND educated.
I would greatly appreciate your opinion on this!!
    Thanks a lot!
    Omo

Dear Prof. Sharif. what if the moderating categorical variables has more than 3 groups, shall we follow the same steps? For me, i had 4 groups for the categorial variable, after I run the multiple group analysis, the "structural weights" went "blank"? Can you help explain how to fix the problem?. Thank you.

    • @saeedsharif

Then, you should compare each pair separately.

How can i do the comparision for the moderation effect.

Is this moderated mediation? I want to check if gender moderates path a in a moderated mediation and also if a continuous variable moderates path b. Should I do multigroup analysis to check if gender moderates between my independent variable and my mediator (path a)? And then I interpret the rest model for both males and females and not separately?
