This is a very simple device that works great! It accepts an HDMI input signal, and transmits it wirelessly to the receiver. That's it! There's no complicated setup needed! Each device is plugged in, transmitter and receiver, plus a USB plug for power (if your HDMI port can't supply power). It can transmit up to 100ft. line of sight, and handles up to 4K input, 1080p output. It also has a display that shows the connection quality.

@@jaykay18 I used it with Acer’s H7550BD projector, a really handy thing to have in a multimedia set up like mine

@@Rhythmman14 I always prefer a direct wired connection, but wireless is good in certain cases.

So this won't work by simply plugging one into laptop HDMI port & plugging the other into tv HDMI port. I just want to watch my laptop on my big flat screen TV, wirelessly. You talk about an android TV box. I don't have that. Why does your junky old TV need a USB port. Did you mean an HDMI port? Your instructions confuse me, as I thought this was a simple HDMI to HDMI product I was going to purchase. Can you help me out. I'm not tech savvy.

The wireless transmitter part, and the receiver part, yes, they each plug in to HDMI. But they need POWER, just like your phone. So they need USB plugged in as well. Some devices--and you won't know which ones they are--will provide power through HDMI. But others will not. For those that don't, you need the USB cable as well.
So hookup is simple: Always use the USB cable. Once you get it working, unplug just the USB cable at one end. If it goes out, you need it. Then try the other end, if it goes out, you need it. It's not rocket surgery.
