Where Manvers Lake is that used to be Wath Marshalling yard, trains used to move coal from mines in the area, then where the golf course is that is built on the old Wath Main mine tip slag heap, Also well before Old Moor was created there just used to be Wath Ings this is the oldest stretch of water, I used to go birding there when you could just walk all the way round, then the rest of the area was adopted by Barnsley council and the other lakes created etc and hides, it was then after that the RSPB took it over and how it is today. Great place to visit.

Great video, I live about 15 min walk from Old Moor, washlands great place also for birding.
