Good video Chris. I'm like you in that I always carry a lot of gear- so lugging it on a bike makes a lot of sense⛺️👍. Weather was pretty kind to you 👍. Tarp spot was pretty damned fine.
Thanks Billy, I pinned your post because you got it spot on, i think you understand the most, thanks for watching and the awesome comment, luggin it about was so much easier on the bike, the weather, what can I say, it turned it on, and you saw the potential of the tarp spot, cheers buddy.
...great video. I usually add about half an eggcup of water to the frying pan, and then swill it around whilst still hot and wipe it out with hay or something, then put some more water on it and leave it on the fire to boil clean...
Thanks Jason. In all honesty it was your Oregon trip that got me thinking about going out and doing something, I'd been cooking a lot locally and felt like having an experience which is what you go out and do, so cheers and thanks a lot for watching 😎😎🙃 it's much appreciated.
Great video, Bike packing is something I've been thinking about for a while now. The woodland you chose is right up my street. Nothing better than a pine type forest where you can get a cosy feel, even when it's cold. Atb Mike.
Hi, thanks for watching, it really is a great wee woodland, a haven in that otherwise empty moorland type environment, the bikepacking was awesome, I will defo do it again, thanks again.
I’m so happy I stumbled upon your channel! This is just the kind of video I love. Beautiful camp. I’ve not tried bake camping before. 😃 Looks really fun, too. 💖 Thanks so much for sharing.
Hello, when people give kind comments like you have it makes it all worth while, I'm really happy you enjoyed the video, I really appreciate the view and the comment, thanks very much, cheers, Chris 😂😂
I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. I'm from NZ and love his channel, it cure's my homesickness, the fact that you subscribed means a lot. I was lucky enough to win a knife from him so I hope to put it to good use in the future. Once again, thanks a lot, cheers.
@@northernembersoutdoors1045 Yep, I was watching that knife giveaway video when Dave mentioned your Channel. Thank You for the very kind words,I'll be looking forward to your next vid
Great video. I love the clear days at this time of year, and you really made the most of them there. Worth a 3 hour cycle for that view and the peace no doubt.
You may have had a really beautiful canopy of stars overhead. Up in the hills like that on a clear night can be a great stargazing view if there's no cloud cover. I'm glad the first bike camping video went well. I liked the transition you did there from going to bed to morning. I'm going to have to watch that again and see how you did that. Very nice video.
Thank you, the Gins kept on coming, the only stars where in my head, it's a good point though, I never thought to check, 8 pm and that was me out cold. I bought filmora pro but the computer kept crashing with it so I only managed a couple of fancy shots with the transition! Thanks for watching.
Enjoyed that video, i havent done my first one yet, but i now more or less have the gear sorted out, i think were abt the same age (im 58) so this was even more interesting for me. I loved the gin ant tonic shout and forgetting to press record haha, great video fella thanks ive subbed, stay safe.
That's great that you're about to do the same thing, I hope you really enjoy it, it was a better experience than I anticipated, thanks for taking the time to watch. Cheers.
beautiful landscape with the low green mountains, where are you from or hiking? Loved the scene when earring breakfast in silence and just taking in the view.
Hi again, I'm from New Zealand but have lived in Scotland for about 20 years now. I feel very lucky in where I live. That's my favourite part to, in fact I had so much fun doing the video, it was just one of those moments, really appreciate you watching, thanks again. all the best, Chris.
The format of your video has shades of those posted by 'Simon a bloke in the woods' - a good model to follow. A whole bottle of mustard! Get yourself to a motorway service station and get small sachets of he condiments.
Good tip on the sachets thanks. I went heavy this time with the intention of doing another video later that's more lightweight. The sachets will be ideal. Simon a bloke in the woods in my opinion is one of the best UA-camrs and a decent bloke, I love his content, but I'm way off his quality that's for sure. Thanks for the great comment 😎😎👍🔥
...yeah, and again. If you ever again encounter that egg sticking. Do the egg cup water method. Just take out the bacon, then pour in the water and the egg goes ferocious and bubbles free of sticking to the pan, then the water turns to steam so you won't have a 'wet' egg...
Northern Embers Camping and Cooking wow didn’t know there is a city named Perth in Scotland 😀 hope to do wild camping in Scotland one day , on my bucket list cheers

Seems to be a very quiet and secluded place to camp. This is I’m Scotland ?
Not to remote, close to the city of Perth, which is indeed in Scotland, thanks for viewing, cheers.

Been doing this in the US for a while. I use a cart for gear and camp. Can detach the bike and take it while the camp stays tidy
Sounds great, a good lifestyle, bet you can take some heavy gear without really noticing it. Thanks for watching, cheers Chris
