Many thanks for your input, I have seen this problem before so had tested all the antenna used in this test first. But a very good point for anyone else who has problems with there TX /RX on there handy radio's. Good luck in all you do. Regards Steve

I ordered a Nagoya 771 a month ago. What I got in the mail today was the Fake Diamond RH771. Same as you tested. I haven't had a chance to test it yet. But i have to say I am disappointed they didn't send what I ordered.

Hi Charlotte rh770 is a solid type antenna as such is not a good field antenna. I am looking at only flexible antenna that can be used under extreme working involvements in this video, But I do hope to cover that antenna under other test conditions in a later videos. Regards Steve

make sure the antenna is actually making a connection.
I found my uvb5 antenna and my 771 was not properly connected I had to trim the base a bit so I could thread it down all the way.
Almost fried my new radio!

Where did you get the Nagoya antenna from (what was the specific website)? Thanks!
They have many on ebay selling under the name na-771 but if you look at the photos, they are indeed the rh-771 Diamond. Beware, these sellers should be flagged. I just got a na-774 but have not been impressed with it. It receives very well but seems to have a poor transmit signal or a dirty sound according to other Hams.
