Hoshi’s are in a class of there own for sure. Last Hoshizaki r-22 I touched had a separated evap plate. Condemned. Nice to see this one still going. Thanks for the videos.
use to watch jim pettinato but i have not see him do any videos anymore somebody told me about you started watching you and glad i did you are a hell of a tech with great info thanks
Dave, From denver, we super dig the videos brother man!! keep on rocking the refrigeration world!!! I've learned a lot of neat tricks from you good sir!! SURFS UP!!!!
We actually still use that exact ice maker, except ours doesn't have a remote condenser. The grid is lose on ours, and the bin level switch is toast. But it plugs along day in and day out making ice daily.
Always recommend Hoshizaki. Best Japanese ice maker made in USA. Find ice deflector pieces in pump, sounds like playing cards in bicycle spokes..enjoyed the vid
any ice machine thats more than 7 yrs old...first thing i check is the evaporator plates to make sure they are not separated...if it is...no need to go further...time for a new machine then...especially those R22 units
Great video man always a pleasure to watch and learn! That ice maker was nasty to the “T” lol. Can’t believe they would not install a water filter as well. Although you did a great job man that Ice looked crystal clear. Keep up the great work. By the way do you have a full time job aside from your company?
I've read on a lot of the coils installation manuals that coil cleaner should never be used...I've been steering clear lately due to company policy....any thoughts on that...unusually go with the viper food safe stuff in the can...works great
The intervals showing you driving around lovely Santa Cruz is definitely appealing 👍🏽
Great job 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I always learn something from each of your videos. Thanks again. 😊
Thank you.

Love the sound of raining Crescents in the early evening!
And this is why Hoshizaki is my favorite ice maker. I've worked on a few R22 old timers , still operating like day one 🤔😐
Felipe Tafolla they are great and employ a lot of American workers in GA.

Surprised to see you throw a gauge on it before cleaning. I get it though, low loss if any with the stubby. Thanks for sharing.

Good job getting that machine high, high production baby!! Was that the witch from Snow White??
Justin Hernandez that cat was wasted to the max bouncing off of everything
Do you need a helper Nor Cal? He is available I bet, lol.

What coil cleaner do you use?
Home Depot 5$ can stuff
Ha! Still carry an r22 book. Hey, on new hoshizaki does the date code still work the same?
billcv80 I believe so.
usually what kills them machines is someone changes the bin stat and doesn't set it or the stat hoes bad and it freezes up solid
Sweet 👍👍
not much left of the cond. coil to clean :))
Hoshizaki’s are known for plate separation
