Side by side dupe tests are all well and good, but NOBODY ever does a side by side wear test when testing dupes. That is what we really need to know. Performance is everything.
i didnt film it, but i did this look 2 days in a row and both days for wear tests and they lasted about the same! the CT lip liner lasted longer though for sure

I'm not the target audience for high end, luxury makeup or even midrange for that matter lol (even some drug store is too expensive to me). I buy drug store (everything but eyeshadow) or indie (eyeshadow, face and lip products) 95% of the time. I don't watch these types of videos because I'm looking for dupes. I love these videos for reviews of affordable/drugstore makeup. In your search for dupes you test out the lower priced products and give such great reviews. Thank you for all of your hard work! The Colourpop cream bronzer looked so smooth tho! Wow those foundations look so similar , Catrice is one of my ride or die , i never tested CT one i always felt is stiky and very powdery at touch !

Fun video! I definitely agree that the L’Oréal infallible powder bronzer is very similar to the CT powder bronzer. I have both in the fair shade and they are similarly smooth and easy to use. I might like the more neutral tone of the L’Oréal more. I think the No. 7 pressed powder in the shiny chrome compact is very similar to the CT pressed powder. Smoothing and blurring yet light. In general I find CT products to perform better than most other products. The lipliners are especially amazing. We definitely need a part 2 with eye products!

I absolutely agree! Lobe that u actually had some of these products. Just used the Mco Flawless glow, with the Catrice true skin foundation. Had both, but never used them together. Now I do! And the Mco blush, I love it. I'll need to order some colourpop

A mattifying primer would be a good first step.
@@jeanetteh.9240 only works for a few hours. My skin doesn't need the hydration in most foundations - powders work better. Yes, I've got lots of mattifying primers!!! It's crazy!

The juvias place magic glow radiance booster is the closest to the flawless filter in my opinion. The elf ones less glowy on me and the formulas creamier too.

I never heard of Mco beauty before but that looks pretty close. i was expecting elf or something. I love the kissing lipsticks and feel that there is nothing similar on the market to those, even amongst other high end and lux brands
Noooo Catrice used to be carried at a drugstore near me but now that they don't carry it anymore, none of the dupes (except online order at colourpop) are available in Canada 😭😭😭
I haven’t even watched this video yet but the best all time favorite Charlotte product is the airbrush powder and there’s absolutely hands-down no comparison or any dupe available that can match it. That’s it. Period. But it’s cute that ppl try 😅 😅 it’s one of those products where you have to just save and buy it.

Just starting this but I have to say in your thumbnail the side that says dupe looks better.
Ehh I have to disagree with the foundation comparisons. CT foundation is straight up matte. That’s how it’s described via CT description, and from my own experience. It’s a heavy matte foundation and was one of the most returned at Sephora when I worked there. The Tru skin is lighter weight, more satin and wears better. CT gets pretty cakey.
You literally can’t tell the difference. She’s gonna be mad that you did this. She gets mad over other companies having things that dupe her things. Oh well. Not all of us get as much PR as others and not all of us can afford every single products of hers. I’ll always splurge for Magic Cream until someone dupes it. lol. There’s a couple other things of her I will always buy.
Its so funny that there are so many dupes for the Flawless filter...that is just one product i would never use, and don't quite get the point of...? It seems like an extra, unnecessary step. But i have normal skin, so...

I don’t know how I feel about that brand who copies products from other brands one to one, from the concept, packaging to everything else. I’d never buy from them. I find it ethically wrong.
However not everything can be duped so best thing hold out for a special sale lol

I think the main difference between luxury and affordable makeup is longevity, even if the products looks the same on the face I found most of affordable products shades much faster than the highend products. And well, the packaging also sometimes a deal breaker because it is literally breaks after few uses (like catrices/revolution ones)… so dupes might be in a look firstly but there are many differences..
I’m not sure how I really feel about these dupes….🧐 especially because these dupes are almost like copycats of each other. Like why can’t they just be ‘original’….
