Judging by glowing reviews from booktube, I have a theory that you could've had a chance to be a big author with millions of copies sold. But if Brando Sando is right, it's harder for newer voices to breakthrough. He talks it here - ua-cam.com/video/f_o71juJkPs/v-deo.html
I'm doing my part and your books are on my certain TBR, so I wish you good luck with your career)
I want to be an author too and my strategy in this age would be - become content creator, like a youtuber that gives top-notch quality content, create good community and audience. All the while writing books on the side and then one day when the audience is large enough publish my books. It's a lot of work, but I'm always was interested in becoming youtuber anyway)

What I love about Christopher is his love for the classics of the genre. I find so many people only talk about books written in the last 20 years. So many gems that goes unappreciated

O M G this is my number one favorite BookTube episode of all time and Crispin (lol) is now my spirit author and favorite writer! Doctor Who from 1963 and Big Finish!! YESSS!!! Sadly I can watch & rewatch the old shows. The new flashy shows are awesome but not necessarily rewatchable. If you started watching with the new flashy show you might not get it. It’s not about the hilarious bubble wrap monsters. It’s a classic for a reason. I never watched Who for the special effects LMAO! I love all sci-fi!!! Doctor Who reigns as number one, good or bad, old or new. Crispin, you’re an old soul! Loved this one! Relisten on Empire of Silence is on December”s TBR! 💯♥️ Twainy

Eccleston, Tennant and Smith are all totally ICONIC, as the Doctor. I sort of fell out of Who around Capaldi, I tried Whittaker and it did not catch on. Maybe one day, but I went from watching episodes on repeat and knowing everything about those episodes and then nothing.

Andor is the best Star Wars thing since Empire. It shows Disney can do unique interesting storytelling, when there’s someone who wants to tell a story and not put a character on screen for nostalgia. Also The Last Jedi is the best sequel movie. That movies great.

So truth be told I havent read a Star Wars book since my young teenage years. Books like Shadows of the Empire, Darksaber and that series that follows Han and Leia's twins (I still do not understand not using this to deal with the good/bad, yin/yang, fall/redemption arcs that they decided to give Kylo and Rey). But to me, it seems that the only way I will get to see some consistantly good Star Wars might be to read some of those books.

Somebody during the show said TaiPan and Noble House were better than Shogun. They were good, but I wouldn’t go that far. The last ones definitely went down hill though. Shogun is the only one I’d read more than once. It’s my second favorite novel after Lonesome Dove and I’ve read it multiple times over the decades. Lord of the Rings was my favorite growing up in the 70’s and 80’s. I have very similar tastes as Christopher with Fantasy and Science Fiction and historical fiction, but I just can’t put any of them over Lonesome Dove, Pillars of the Earth, and Shogun. Gonna be hard to knock off those 3. The SunEater books are climbing way up the list though. I also grew up in the Raleigh, NC area so it’s cool that CR lives there. I went to UNC-Chapel Hill for undergrad and grad school, but I grew up an NC State fan.

What Marvel and DC are currently doing is Rob liefelding the movies. He used to introduce so many new characters and wouldn't give us the time to attach to any one, every issue he'd introduce some new team etc and thus he failed pretty bad.

Mike, if you want a great PC update with which you can play the latest titles, you must update first your GPU with atleast 16GB in the price range of 600 to 800$. Then, a CPU performant enough that it won't bottleneck the GPU.
If you want to update, my advice to you is to go the AMD route with the new CPU series.

I actually disagree for dune and John Carter it's inspired by it but u can't pick one thing that's one to one in similarities. It inspired dune in some aspects with multiple works to create its own new concept.
When for example u see rebel moon and u see heated swords that are like light sabers it's obviously star wars influence it's a one to one thing, And there nothing wrong with that. It's just that I don't agree with the "everything is inspired by something" yea it ain't the same as older works.

Ha, it's so weird listening to Americans talking about Doctor Who, it used to be such an utterly British show. Now it's just a steaming turd of a thing.
I grew up watching it in the 70's and Tom Baker will always be my favourite Doctor. I also liked Jon Pertwee & Peter Davidson.
From the new Doctors I think Matt Smith is the best followed by David Tennant.
I remember reading a lot of the books that they brought out in the 70's.
The Doctor Who weekly that came out in the 70's was a great comic for a long time. With Tom Baker as the Doctor. It introduced one of the best characters ever Abslom Daak - Dalek Killer.

I started falling out of love with Doctor Who during the Capaldi era. I couldn’t detect any semblance of chemistry between Capaldi and Coleman. I tried to watch the show during the Whittaker era, but it was intolerable. The music, writing, and Whittaker’s costume were awful, in my opinion. A complete turn off.
