    Because they are so casual and have a bunch of fun with playing music and running the channel, I sometimes forget that these guys are legit professionals and in no way are the pieces they play *easy.* This is one of the videos where all their hard work and experience really shine through. It's one of those things that looks like you can do it so you try it and you suck because of that difference in skill. I wish there was a second subscribe button :'(

    • @alyssarain00
      @alyssarain00 3 роки тому +41

      @A.H Well I obviously know that they *are* professionals. I don't literally forget it and become surprised whenever they mention it. It's just that they don't show it off all the time. It's fun and casual and they don't constantly try to show off their skill just for the sake of showing off. This is one of their videos that show the more technical side of playing the violin and I just wanted to show my appreciation for their craft. As someone who doesn't play the violin or any other instrument, it's cool to see all that goes into playing the violin on a professional level and what that exactly means.

      @@henryn5445 exactly. Then you don't have to worry about your sheet music or your music stand. You also can count and know when to come in if your playing with an orchestra, I would imagine. I know I was a vocalist, and while contemporary music is easier, I knew the lyrics and all of the verses of close to a thousand songs. It's easier to just memorize them than sightread lyrics, and of course you can't perform with sheet music at all as a vocalist.

    • @wmnoffaith1
      @wmnoffaith1 3 роки тому

      @@IorekBear92 Well, I'm not going to argue with you about it. I'm sure different singing venues have different criteria, and sometimes the audience doesn't see you, or if you are singing while playing piano it would be easy. I could have used sheet music when recording in the studio, but I sang in choir, as a lead in theater, and with a microphone in front of a band, and in all of those places you really couldn't have a music stand or sheet music.

      Yep, I'd like to see them sightread some of the ones they don't already know. Also this overview neglects that the standard of playing is expected to improve significantly, especially for the diplomas, so even if the pieces aren't that much harder the level of finesse required is.
