So excited to watch All that you share, A dream come true, have a beautiful time, your going to have a wonderful life there and good wine.
Yes, it is a bit overwhelming buying a property and living in another country that you are not just visiting. The u tube channel will help, and when you do voice overs and speed up the filming it makes the project more interesting. You can do this, you've done it before. Your past experiences good and bad will keep you going. Trust yourself, stay away from the brocants, and just clean. It's like being a poor college student in her first apartment, don't over spend and make luxuries few. LOL. 😁
Haha! Great analogy! The problem is, I need to set up 12 bedrooms in order to host the retreats! I now have help getting stuff on the French version of Craig's list though. A little cheaper!

Oh that was a fantastic video. I absolutely loved it. Your new home and gardens and caves are simply magical ❤ your friends were amazing and I am especially glad that Wendy was with you for those first few day. You all worked wonders. I do hope you post regularly x
You girls know how to work!!!!! Crazy what a little clean up can do.. Greetings from Holland xxx
The room with the sconces missing is the brightest room in your video! All those windows are divine, and once you replace the sconces it will be just perfect at night!
I love all the colors, the floors, the tiles, the quirky kitchen - everything. I would make the room with the mosaic floor the dining room.
Oh WOW!!! That cave!!! ... and the cave rooms. What fun! What a lovely feel to the house. Wishin you much happiness on your adventure with it.
I'm so excited for you taking such an adventure. My years have passed but I can feel and see your dreams. Keep sending your inspiring videos.
I am so happy for you.
I wish I could do something like this! It’s absolutely beautiful!
BRAVO A VOUS. JE VOUS SOUHAITE BEAUCOUP DE MERVEILLEUX MOMENTS DANS CE CHATEAU DE MA FRANCE QUE J'AIME TOUJOURS. VOUS AVEZ DE LA CHANCE. MERCI DE VOUS INVESTIR DANS LES VESTIGES DU PASSE.
Merci Beaucoup! 😊
The staircase railing @ 7:52 is simply divine :)
The building made out of stone is so unique, the first I’ve seen in the world of chateau restorations!
Such a beautiful property and home, can’t wait to see what you do with everything but one thing’s for sure, you started off with the right furniture!
Thank you so much!
Happy to have you pop up as 'suggested' so early on in your new life as Chatelaine and UA-camr... this is going to be a fascinating story. Bon chance!
So excited to watch your adventure! As an older woman, it’s SO refreshing to see you on this journey! Best wishes!
Thank you!
I was SO excited watching you drive up to the chateau and checking it out before it had been closed on. That's exactly what I would have done 😁 it all looks amazing and I look forward to watching you bring her back to life!
Your château is absolutely gorgeous. I can only imagine its splendour as you work on it
All good wishes to you from Australia as you begin on this amazing project 🇦🇺! 🌻
I love that you are following your heart. Your chateau is beautiful.

omg!!!! that place would be easily 2.5 million here !!! lucky YOU!!!
Your chateau is beautiful and you are going to be amazing bringing it back to life. I'm really looking forward to watching your videos.I am am living vicariously through you living a beautiful dream.
As an artist and painter I would rent a space there, as is ! So much inspiration and beauty.
I’m an artist too. Still try to figure out the best place for a studio! 🤩
I am happy to see your Chateau is not super huge! And what a unique property with those caves😮. How nice you can put initial money into furniture and not the ROOF like so many other chateau owners have to. Good luck, have fun and enjoy the journey. Thanks for bringing us along.
Yes it is very manageable and in pretty great condition! Thanks for watching! 🙏
So what little by little it's gonna be done is not a big deal🤣
Thanks for the amazing tour! When you showed the staircase and the tiled salon, it was easy to see why you chose this incredible home! Looking forward to more videos!
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Please make a lot of videos. I need to live vicariously through you! 🤩 Your chateau is absolutely gorgeous. Your videos are great. You are living my dream. I am about your age and obsessed with chateaus as well. Your chateau is exactly what I would have bought myself. The rooms are so stunning and I love all the glass doors. I think I just love everything about it so please continue!🙏🏻
So proud of you and loving that you are keeping the character with the furniture. Good on you for doing this and why the hell not eh, go for it girl. ❤️
😅
I admire your courage and all that I can say is, " color me jealous"!!! LOL!!! What an adventure!!! I wish that I had thought about doing this in my younger days!!! I wish you all the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations! This looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun! … and hard work, but hey, it’s going to be fabulous! I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with this adorable chateau. Wishing you all the happiness on this wonderful adventure 👍🏻🇬🇧💕
What a lovely cozy nest you will now have!! The dwelling of a forest or mountain nymph...and the views are stunning - these pyramidal poplars, or cypresses: what a pastoral, as if from the paintings of French artists!🤩😄
Well, I'm hooked.
I visited the South of France in 2001 and have fantasized moving to a Chateau. And here you are! I look forward to watching your videos and living vicariously. One commenter said you should get all of us volunteers together to 'raise the barn' as we say in the Midwest.
Bon Chance !!
I totally agree with you! What a fun time that would be!
Abby I just found your channel on UA-cam and I have subscribed!!! I find your life story so amazing and I am glad to be a part of your journey! Congrats on your new home purchase! 🤗
Truly an awesome amazing place! Loving the furnishing inspirations for your new home! Was wondering if you might enlarge the kitchen and open it up into the room next to it - a huge château - so many possibilities and the grounds are outstanding! Living in and caring for history is so valuable in our disposable times. I am loving this journey and your videography- loads of great things ahead, feeling this!!🤗
I wish i could enlarge it but the wall between the rooms is 2 ft thick! It was a fireplace. Thanks for watching! 😍
You are doing great! I love the tour today and I’m looking forward to seeing more of the Château! I’m excited to take this journey with you!❤
Waaw this is amazing. What a beautiful place 😍
Making old things new is one of the small pleasures we all have available. thanks for sharing.
I have looked forward to this video after seeing your intro video. You have done a great job creating this and I’m excited to follow you on this journey!
Thank you so much!
I just love this, you're living my dream! All I want is a quiet and peaceful home in the woods but France is one of the places in the world I truly want to visit though I have never been on a plane. I am subscribing because I want to see more of France and this gorgeous house you bought. The wooden floors are gorgeous. Everything in this house wow look at that beautiful mosiac tile. I have goosebumps of adoration just staring at this beautiful home. You have a lot of work ahead of you but it's all going to be worth it. I want to live with you!
Thank you! I think it's pretty wonderful too! :) I too would love to know the history of that grotto. It has windows and a door and is huge! If I can find out, you will be the first to know (via a vlog post!) Thanks for your comment!
@@chateauchronicles Thank you so much
I watched from start to finish so I think you can stop worrying about making UA-cam Videos. I think you have a feel for what you like to see - a lot of us will come along with you for thew ride.
Thank you so much!
This looks like it’s in a lot better condition than a lot of the old chateaus there. Thank you for letting us see in. We can live vicariously through you. And yes you did a great job with the video. I can barely tell you’re new to it.
Loved every minute being there with you and your pup, I know he loves being there as much as you.
This was so enjoyable to watch. Heaven on earth, you have done so well. So excited to watch All that you share, A dream come true, have a beautiful time, your going to have a wonderful life there and good wine.
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
What an adventure for you and your BFF Boston❤️
Chloe is my mascot! Haha!
Fairy tale status! Happy for you!!! And I don’t even know you haha but I can tell you’re a great person by the way you carry yourself
One of my favorite movies is under the tuscan sun , it is dream movie for me and you are doing what i wish i could do so thank you for sharing this I love it
I love the book! Maybe I'll write my own version! :)
What a beautiful place, I gasped when I saw the lovely gate! I said ohhh, when a I saw the keys! What can I say but I’m a CA girl born and raised. My 100 yr old house is about as old as I could get!! I enjoyed your video so much, I’ll live living vicariously through you! Congrats!
This is so great! I’m glad I found you and can’t wait to see your progress. I’ve been obsessed with Italian farm houses…maybe I’ll be following your lead to Europe! I’d love to see a video about your experience with the home buying process. Great video!
Im french and im grateful for all the courageous people who buy and restore such amazing places. It s one place rescue and it making me happy. Just one thing promise if you dont speak french you’ll take some lessons because for me its a part of the expérience. Cant wait to watch more videos to come. Have a Nice hollidays and a merry christmas
OK, I'll try and talk about the French lessons!
Wow! What a fun adventure and with your best friend too! I’m impressed with your cleaning skills and how much you’ve improved it already. Looks like a wonderful place. Subscribed.
Thank you!
I agree with every comment...what a wonderful adventure you are on. I know UA-cam videos take a TON of time but it is inspiring to watch the beginning of a new life journey. Looking very forward to more!!
Thank you! 😊
Omg, I love the red and white tiles in the kitchen. They are marvelous.
Regarding your UA-cam videos…..you’re doing a wonderful job! 🎉😊❤
Aww. Thanks! 😀
Wow! This video just showed up in my suggestions...how very exciting and cool! I can't wait to go watch the other videos to get caught up & hopefully find out how this came about. What nice friends you have to come all that way to help you with some of the move in stuff especially cleaning! :) And Chloe is so precious!!! (I'm curious how things went with getting her through customs? Did she have to quarantine? SO exciting, I LOVE your new home!!!
No quarantine. I just needed a vet certificate and I carried her in a carrier onto the plane. She's totally chill about it. 🥰
Wow what a wonderful chateau. Are you planning to live there, or keep it as a holiday home? Love to see old historic homes come back to life again. 💕
I'm hoping to host retreats for writers and artists! :)
Both of my grandfathers were of French descent, and my paternal grandpa’s family was from Boudreaux. I’ve always dreamed of visiting but thought that would probably never happen, but never say never, right? So, here I am, 65, and my sweet husband surprised me with a trip to France next November! I’m can’t begin to explain what this means to me, and discovering your channel makes me even more excited! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing journey!💞
Oh, that's wonderful! You will have an amazing time. What a lovely husband you have!
Beautiful location, and the house is nicely perched, an incredible wall along the view side. The house itself is fabulous, a real piece of history. Thank you.
