Thank you for a great how to video my Brother!! Well done covering all the detais!! And I must compliment you on your beard ...healthy and well maintained!!! God Bless you and yours!
Thank you BCR! I just developed that noise and believe it’s that same issue, my grommets are in there but seems to be loose grommets… so thanks for sharing, great video & camera work.
As always BCR...Great attention to detail! And great camera work as well. You always seem to convey that "you " can do it! Thanks for your solution to a problem... diagnosis, and repair!
Man, thank you so much! Took about 3 minutes. I'm glad your bushing went flying out the back of the bike, I would have kept trying to fight It. I started it like you did. I used detailing liquid (Griot's) as a lubricant and a 10 Oz. Dead-Blow hammer to drive in the bushing. I ended up finishing with the handle end of the hammer to push the bushing in and my fingernail to pull the corner out to the rear. More lube then wiggled the bracket in. Easy Thanks Again
I'm about to do this today and found this video from you BCR appreciate it and some of your other videos too. Comment and sub. I am replacing both sides of my Rinehart's on my old Road King Classic (2000 much twin cam love here) so I'm expecting it to take about 2 hours when it should only take 30 minutes! :) Ride on my Milwaukee brother!
I sure appreciate ya actually showing the battle with the grommet! Most would have hid that! Hey at our age, you should look at getting a hoist. I have one and it makes everything easier including cleaning it. Another great video!
Thanks. I try and show viewers a little of what it's really like to do some of these jobs. They're not all slick and easy like some channels show you My wife actually told me that I should get a lift today haha! I couldn't believe it!
BrewCityRider, Yeah. My old bones (I’m 47 haha) don’t do so well on concrete floors anymore either. Just throwing myself on the ground repeatedly changing fluids rattles them enough I feel it for a couple days afterwards. I’ve got a motorcycle/atv lift from Craftsman I use for cleaning but I’m considering a full ramp lift like the one from Harbor Freight for anything as intensive as that grommet replacement. Haha. Ride safe.
Thanks for the video BCR! Sometimes the simple repairs can turn into a real PIA! I was just wondering when the music started playing how many cuss words where flying. LOL!! Water/liquid dish soap mixed together does pretty good job too! Thanks for sharing! Hope it fixed your rattling!
As a DIY'er too, sometimes I have a nightmare job too. I just remind myself how much the bike costs, How much better it will be when done, and I keep hammers and other weapons of mass destruction out of reach!
Thanks for posting this video. at min 4:30 you showed the 1/2 inch bolts. my 2012 has after-market pipes on it and one of the bolts is missing. What is the width of that bolt so i can replace it and put some Loctite and rubber washers on it. plus any guidance would help. Thanks in advance
Yeah, I was not expecting that. The bracket pushed through rather easily when it was out of the bike. New tough rubber with no place to expand once mounted on the bike I guess.
Thanks for all the great comments! Took her out for a ride today and am happy to report that my rattle is gone! 👍🤪 #diy

Ride safe and often.

I put my isolators in hot water to soften them up, used Silicone spray as lube & installed with a small rubber mallet to persuade it in.
nice job backing off those 1/2" bolt's. If I had done it, I'd prob have ended up w/10 skinned knuckles hahaha ✌️🌴☮️
Another great video from the BCR garage....can I bring my over for service 👍

I looked for those locking mats at HF website but couldn't find them. Is that where you got them?
Yes, they call them anti-fatigue foam mats, and they come in a set of 4 for less than 10 bucks.
@@BrewCityRider Thanks Brew, I'm getting some!
Real Booger Bear hey BCR?
