Just have to share. Been watching for many years and have learned so much. I'm 75 and am currently making some headway in this new to me yard that is nothing but weeds. Anyway, 10 days ago I found an envelope of Kuri squash seeds from 2011. Had recently purchased new seeds so decided to experiment. One row of new seeds and one row of 13 year old seeds. 80% of the new seeds have sprouted and 5 of the 12 very old seeds have sprouted!! Still can't believe it but very excited. Just goes to show that it's worth the effort to experiment and try different things. Love your show and love everything you teach. Thank you and blessings to you! you deserve it!!!

The gallon bag is a clever idea. In the past I have failed because my soil kept drying out as the fit was not quite tight enough.
I will try it again using a gallon plastic bag. Thanks!

Good tip about the big leaves = old timey mulberry. We used to play underneath very old and very huge mulberry trees as kids I'll never forget it, they had an arching canopy of branches which touched the ground, was just like a big tent & the fruit was amazing! Messy but amazing!

Danny here in Indiana our mulberry trees look nothing like that. They have a smaller Berry, very lobed leaves and quite invasive.

There is a native American mulberry which is red. Many red mulberries have crossed with other varieties, and the results are - interesting.

Yes, same here in my Maryland backyard; the birds are planting them all over the place, and I only have about a couple of acres! They are difficult to get rid of (or I'm not good at it).

Good info. Thanks. Wonder if that would work on a Dwarf mugo pine bush ? Would love to watch how to graft a pear. Had one successful one but the rabbits bit through the bark below it so have to do it again. The other one wasn't successful so need to watch more videos to try to understand why one worked and the other didn't cause I have to cut quite low to fix the problem and don't want to lose both trees.😊

If you do an online search, you will find many different ways to propagate your blueberry. Hint: work only with pieces you can afford to lose.

I found out there are white mulberry trees on our place. These are non native, from China and india. Not as sweet. Going to try to remove.
