The hat and sunglasses are perfect for the "cool" gardening look. We all need to wear those gardening tools. As usual. your Little Gems are so cute when they are that small and look so yummy later. I am just going to have to try them.
Yes the little blighters are arriving fast and furious so far I’ve been wiping eggs of the leaves but I’ve allowed a large potted perennial kale to become sacrificial I’ve taken cuttings first though. Love the hat wise addition with our sudden heatwave, I’ve also started topping my toms as things h@ve been so late better to ripen what I have . Take care ❤️
Thanks Ivan, the hat looks great, I saw the first Cabbage White around here yesterday and it was huge, great tip with the topping of the Tom's and netting the Brassicas, but we'll need heat to ripen the Tom's. Take care and all the best. Stevie
That half inch is VERY important. I used to measure 4ft 11 and a 1/2", but advancing years saw me shrink almost an inch, last time I was checked at the drs. Hence, I only grow dwarf and semi-dwarf bush tomatoes now - working at heights, on a stepladder, is not advised as age advances (but I give myself permission for sweet peas ...).
Yep, I've got a clutch of cabbage whites around my garden this last week, having only seen a single one until then. The kind of net I'm using is on the end of a stick - sorry, CWs, I can't abide the slippery mess you make of all my brassicas! 😈
The cabbage white is a pain , do you put collars round your plants to stop them laying eggs and destroying the roots? I’m still battling slugs Iv found putting bramble round my plants stops them a bit
@@ivans-gardening-allotment-uk have you thought of putting bramble round your plants too to keep the slugs off? Iv done it and it’s working plus beer traps
The cabbage white is out in force now. Thank you Ivan.
Sure is Thank you Irene
Loving the hat! Very stylish Ivan.
Thank you Linda

Thank you Ivan, my 3 cabbage plants looked good then suddenly they are ruined. Re the Rocket seeds I have had the same problem .
Sorry to hear that Anne
Delighted to see the hat Ivan, and it's very fetching 😊. Whatever happened to the pepper plant you brought inside?
Hi Sandra been taking it in and out and it is doing fine
Thank you
😂I've just topped my cordon tomatoes too Ivan, for the same reason. They were taller than me, 4'11 and a 1/2". Dont forget the 1/2! 😁

@@Sine-gl9ly oh yes I forgot about the shrinking as we get older! Will have to remeasure. I'm prepared to be shocked 😉
Thank you
Thank you
Thank you
Seen about a handful. Fleeces are on. Not going through the the same hassle as last year of checking every plant and leaf every day.
Good call Thank you
