set my first quick today it was a one tried to focus on stopping the ball exactly in the my middle's hitting zone the fact that it wasn't even planned but we both thought of it at the same time was more special to me made me feel like kageyama

Is it weird that i find setting quickballs easier than normal sets? i keep doubling and my sets aren’t accurate enough for my normal sets.

the one where hinata closes his eyes and jumps is more realistic, however if you really want to do the falling toss, itll probably be more of slowing down near the point of impact than actually stopping dead in its tracks

During last practice my couch asked if I knew how to set a quick ball and I said I hadn’t tried it before so he made my try it, only had he explain it like this... He just said “short and quick” without telling me where to aim for, or any tips whatsoever. I had no clue which muscles to use or when or where to set the ball. Let’s just say I sucked, now I finally get what to do thank you so much!

Hey, I'm 195cm tall, 16 years old, middle blocker from Brazil and I started playing volleyball on august last year. I've been watching you guys' videos in order to improve my volleyball skills. Some of your tips have really been helping me. I used to have lots of problems hitting the ball when trying to spike and after seeing your vids my quick spike has just been deadly for the guys I play with. I'm still an intermediate player but I'm improving very fast. Thank you for the help and keep up the good work! ;)

I'm a middle blocker and I find quick spikes easier to hit than other types. I think part of it is because I'm quite tall (195cm) so I just have to run, jump and the setter will put the ball right in my hand so I just have to hit it as hard as I can, instead of thinking too much about my timing.

Setting comes in naturally for me, I just have to observe my spikers’ tempo when approaching the ball. Although I’m really conflicted about quick sets since one of my spikers really love quick sets. He usually adjusts when I do a normal set because he’s better in spiking when he’s the one adjusting because he’s able to read his position. But in quick sets I have to be the one to adjust which I’m not used to when it comes to him.

I like quick sets a lot cuz as a middle I’m too fast for a normal set every time I go for a normal set I miss the ball and it be over my head

I'm 14 and 179cm... My coach wants me to be a setter since I have sick hands but I'm the best hitter on my team:/ should I set or be a hitter?

i'm a setter and i still get to hit lots, especially if you do back court setting. you'll be able to hit almost the same amount as the hitters when you're in front court.
