I am pleasantly surprised that an Assembly of God church has a pipe organ or an organ of any kind. I am the organist at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in East Syracuse, NY that also has an 1884 Hilbourne Roosevelt tracker organ. Our Roosevelt is nine ranks, but the console of this Roosevelt is very similar to ours with some of the same stops and exactly the same kind of Sw to Ped, Gt to Ped, Sw to Gt, and Sw to Gt Octave couplers. Thank you Brent for posting this video.

👍 I watch almost almost all of your videos as I can. I don't comment much, but this is to let you know that I am very appreciative for all the beautiful demos that you bring us organ enthusiasts. Thank you so much.

I've played the 1883 Roosevelt at Elberon Memorial Church in NJ, it's an unrestored example and also my profile picture. It also uses those piston style couplers, and they certainly did make the action terribly heavy. In spite of that it was a really beautifully voiced instrument, especially the Oboe and flutes. So glad to see other extent examples of Roosevelt instruments, I think Roosevelt's are some of the best organs of the late 19th century.

cromorne, a G. Kilgan & Sons organ is very similar to the Roosevelt organs, the one George Kilgan & Sons that I played was at the Saint Aloysius Jesuit Perish in downtown Spokane Washington, unfortunately only 12 of the facade pipes were real☹️😒

I'm gonna be straight forward, the nice uncle that goes all over the map to introduce these fine organs reminds me of my late father who also was an organist but also wrote informative columns about pipe organs from around the world, all the needed info in detail from the designing to the construction to the tuning to the playing, also including history, I just love this uncle who shares these organ info videos, I'm an organist myself and I enjoy learning about the different types of companies who builders these gorgeous organs

Very interesting wonderful presentation. I was founder & Director of Counseling for Christian Broadcasting in Philadelphia from 1974 to 1980 & Rev Harry Knisell with the Assembly of God was my advisor.
It was a wonderful time & many precious memories. Thank you for this behind the scenes story. I've been a trumpet & string musician for ages & love the organ music. Hope to stay in touch with you

Pasadena is home to an 1889 Frank Roosevelt, opus 433. I understand that Frank was the brother of Hilborne. It was built in New York. They were also cousins of Theodore Roosevelt. The instrument has a single manual and five ranks of pipes including a doppleflute. It has tracker action. The organ was built for Church of the Angels, an Episcopal congregation. The church and the organ are still together, and it is used regularly.

I saw Carlo Curly play a recital there in the mid 70's. Interesting to see the church again.

It's so nice to hear a tour of a Roosevelt, I'm a little surprised it's tracker and not on Roosevelt ventil chests.

Identical stoplist to the three manual Roosevelt in the old First Congregational Church in Michigan City, Indiana. That organ doesn’t have a Great Mixture, but has a Choir manual/division.

Excellent sound, but with two 8' trumpets, methinks it needs a 16' pedal reed.
