I liked how you said turning off decoupled mode gives you so much more control over your ship, however, whenever I try, it feels the exact opposite like its permanently skidding on ice.

@@DJSikosis it does but when you learn to feel for that and control it you'll never wanna be in coupled again. Stay tuned cos the next video will go in detail on the flight 🫡

@@Jakodin Yeah learned decoupled mode over 8 months ago, was a game changer and feels so much better to be flying your ship. But after having a break from SC gotta relearn it all again.

Yeah that comes with practice and learning to fly with control. I do plan to release a video about learning to fly like a racer. In the meantime, if you really want to learn I recommend joining the XGR discord and attend the racing school classes. Lots to learn from there

@@Jakodin must be lots and lots of practise, I can't seem to do one clean lap of any map. I assume in an actual race if you crash that's it you're out and not just a 5 second penalty like in Arena Commander?

@@DJSikosis Yes, most races use the DNF rule if you crash especially since most races are in the PU so there's no recovering from a crash. The most important thing to learn is start slow cos slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Learn the track and learn the ship then start pushing for times
