Many years ago I had a 1700 Crossflow with about 140bhp. It was the most fun that you could have with your clothes on at the time. 320bhp in a Caterham must be awesome, terrifying and so much fun. I remember mine in the wet but 320bhp? Leave it at home on a wet day, great video.

Great review - i had a 420R and loved it. God only imagines what the 620 is like. No experience for around GBP45K second hand mark comes close at all. It's also so underrated, wars would be avoided if world leaders just went for a drive in this, just a thought.

I once dreamt of building one of these myself, but in the Netherlands the costs associated with getting a kitcar registered have become mental so sadly that's never going to happen, but I'm hoping I can get an already registered one secondhand one day.

The only 2 reasons I don’t drive my Westfield SE everyday is the fuel consumption and my hands Raynaud’s flare anytime is below 5 degrees, even with the gloves on! Otherwise I’d daily drive it!😬
Nice colour scheme 😁 the series 5 SV wide body chassis looks a bit awkward/ clumsy from some angles compared to the S3 but I wouldn't be complaining lol alot quicker than my humble k series S3 😁😁

What sort of shoes do you wear to drive with the pedals and/or do you know how to do left foot braking? I take a size 11 and last time I jumped into one (motor show 2006 😱), my right foot covered most of the pedals.
I wear the smallest/narrowest trainers I can find. I only wear a size 8. I know people that drive them with no shoes on at all or wear race boots.
You are not alone in this predicament. My suggestion would be go and try one and see if it is possible. 👍🏻

Every petrol head needs a caterhamesque car in their garage. Doesn't have to be the 620, a 310r is probably the sweetspot
I'd go for the 420 especially if you plan to do track days, you get used to 310/tonne very quickly and the 420 is less likely to kill you than the 620. I have 420/tonne in my Westfield, it's about right for me after having a 347/tonne bike engined car for a few years now. On track you'd notice the difference but in all honesty on the road it's conditions, traffic etc that limit you. I can't even shake of my mate in my old Tiger with 250/tonne, but on track it's a whole different story!

These are great but at this price point they are out of reach of the average man. A used Cayman/Boxster makes more sense.
I get your point, and especially with a 620s/r. A used Cayman or Boxster is a different experience entirely. You could go with one of the smaller engines Caterhams at a fraction of the cost of this one, that are plenty fast enough.

Errrr the clue is in the name, it's not just over 500bhp per tonne, its 620bhp per tonne.
I can see why you’d think this. Unfortunately it is 508bhp per tonne. I had the same argument with none other than Tiff Needell so you are in good company. Haha
Try 620 Per ton. Hence the badge 620S
