Thanks so much for your visit, Andrew! The elevators in this video are KONE Monospace® 700, 1,6m/s and 800kg; and the glass elevator is KONE MonoSpace® Special , 1,6m/s and 1600kg.
Good to hear that typical KONE EcoDisc brake clunk noise as it gives the KONE MonoSpace a character. That big KONE InfoScreen LCD indicator is quite unique, never seen that before.
IDLift3000 I rode an EcoDisc this past Saturday it was one of the most awesome modern lifts I ever filmed! My favorite was the shaft noise and the loud clunking at the top
Most newer KONEs in my country instead wait ~3s after stopping to apply the brakes, then another ~2s before opening the doors (though other brands have this issue too)
I think this is why so many elevator filmers and building owners find KONE such a highlight because of how fast they can go on just one ecodisc controller
Oh and I remember earlier today I thought I saw a kone van pulling into a gas pump near where I live which was odd and I was thinking they were gonna finally add more ecodiscs in the area but they were just coming to fill up
There are 2 escalators in the Kone test tower as well as elevators in the Kone test tower. If you want to ride them please ask a member of staff to switch the escalator on if out of order sign in not shown.
So what happens when Kone comes out with a new elevator? Do they just put another one in this tower, or do they remove a older version and put in the newer elevator?
The basement is called "45" instead of "B" or "LL" or even "C", the 1st floor is called "33" instead of "1" or "G" or even "L" or "M", the 2nd floor is called "30" instead of "2" & the 3rd floor is called "27". Also what's strange is that the numbers of the floors go downwards on the way up & vice versa. It's usually the opposite. Why it's weird to number the ground floor as 32 numbers up from "1".
Nice elevators, the views are AMAZING, AND they run very smoothly. I don't know what the deal is with the brakes, and why they make that noise, maybe you learned about that when visiting. Nontheless, very nice elevators!!!!!! Also, your editing here was FANTASTIC!!!
This is a thing on every MRL - not just Kone. They all do it. My guess is that the brakes use an electromagnetic clutch, like your car’s air conditioning. It’s normal for them to snap back and forth as they engage and disengage. If you happen to have a glass MRL near you somewhere, pay close attention to the sheave on the motor, when it locks and unlocks you should see the entire assembly move slightly. It’ll clamp down when it locks, and when it unlocks, the brakes are released. At least I think this is how it works, it’s been a little while since I’ve looked at this sort of thing.
@@ZZ9ProductionsOFFICIAL Specifically, the NMX series EcoDiscs have the quiet motor brake. The upgraded MX 20 EcoDisc, which is used for big applications, still clunks hard and nicely.
HI Tedd Camba here in Manila, Philippines i am interested to do business as maintenance contractor for Kone Elevator. May i know if do have a training center here in the Philippines. Thank you, looking forward to hear from you soon.
I wonder how do you service these MRL elevators if say, something happens with the motor? How do you move the car? Or if you need access to the parts at the top of the shaft, like the panel we see at 3:10?

IDLift3000 Look my Thyssenkrupp which uses kinda KONE brakes:instagram.com/p/BiciKFegu-Z/

I see KONE still practices pre-door opening, just like the old days.
They do actually....

Looks like the setting for an epic space battle against alien robots in a video game!

Great video! The use of editing is awesome and you captured the behaviors of KONEs unique controllers.
I really like how they decorated their facility in a cave thats really cool
These units are stunningly beautiful. Thanks for posting this.
Europe does have some pretty dope elevators I rode the some of the elevators at Frankfurt airport in Germany and a couple in Athens Greece
So what happens when Kone comes out with a new elevator? Do they just put another one in this tower, or do they remove a older version and put in the newer elevator?
thank you for letting us know and we can do this together soon 🙂
So smooth and precise! I'd love this in my building!
I can't wait to see how you react on a paternoster.
+MrOrthopedia that will be soon :)
You will see that this weekend
Two amazing elevators!
Elevatorman 2005 the right elevator is better though
I like it
Left elevator looked like a normal kone but the one on the right looks more futuristic
Well that was a good video my favourite is the yello wheels under the lift
That same brake sound is used on a thyseen Krupp elevator to stop the elevator on the right floor
So when you were in Finland I recommended if you tested the elevator in a museum named kiasma in the city it’s sooo big
High quality elevator.
Tobey Sze But you hear brakes.
Elevators/TrainsinMassachusetts so.
MBTA and Elevators who cares?
MA Elevators and Railfann It’s not that annoying since the brake was out when it was not moving.
Tobey Sze you’re right they are vary smooth and modern
Very quick levelling
NICE DESIGN AND VERY FAST
I love the design!
What happened to the left lift did it used to be a maxi space? Also the floors got renumbered
0:31 Floors 27, 30, 33, and 45. Wow. I'm guessing they're doing it like that to test the controllers, though
The numbering is the elevation
@@DieselDucy good to know.
I thought they forgot to put a minus at the frount
FINALLY A CLASSIC LEVELLING ELEVATOR
Those doors are beautiful
The elevator has Kone KSS 600 Indicator.
You should check out the elevators at ikea in shumburg Illinois their glass and one looks right out of the window at the enterence
Ive also heard the video elevators from sweden has filmed he actually also rode the escalators which actually glow the colors of the kone logo
he did
Those doors are amazing! Is anyone talking about them?
+JR Jackson I love the doors on the big elevator.
DieselDucy it looks like the elevator in Charlie and the chocolate factory movie
I love that double brake clunck!
I do too
cool kone ecodisc dieselducy
That double brake clunk is amazing
Some may like that clunking noise the brakes make. But not so much when you're a resident on the top floor of a building that uses them.
They can be fine adjusted until near silence, though.
Do they follow each other?
Awesome lift

John O'Connor Because the lifts/elevator goes underground maybe.
John O'Connor As I noted too of this place looks kinda private, and on the way for security they have different numbering

EcoDisc brakes always clunk except on the newest model. It's not a problem and actually adds to the awesomeness!

Nice Cabs! And nice glass elevator too! But the button layout is a bit confusing
Thoes Elevators are really nice!
Brand new 2017 video
Seems to have the reflex leveling system and these elevators are fast at leveling I'm surprised
Kone :D
omg KONE is here
Top-of-the-line, one of a kind show elevator, and still a noisy door operator belt within 30 seconds...
Floors at test lab: *Inverted* Me: Wait, That’s Illegal!
日本にもKONEと似てるやつがありますよ!日本では東芝スペーセルというKONEと似てる巻き上げ機を使ってます。
Thanks
My favorite elevators❤
I love them
Where can you get this vip key for a monospace
Nice leveling
Those ecodisc are awesome come to the United Arab Emirates Dubai go take a taxi to hard rock then you can see monospace ecodisc elevators
Please go back there to Finland Kone
i like the first elevator you rode
Nice For a Kone elevator in Europe
HI Tedd Camba here in Manila, Philippines i am interested to do business as maintenance contractor for Kone Elevator. May i know if do have a training center here in the Philippines. Thank you, looking forward to hear from you soon.
Please make an elevator video of the Statue of Liberty,New York City.
Why do the numbers go up when you go down?
Blake Hutchison It is based on depth
0:28 what the heck was that???
Diseal ducy
Yeah but why is that covering something!
Dieselducy
Most of his newer videos come with a “Hidden DieselDucy”
DOUBLE CLUNCK!!!!
beauiful lifts
cool video!
The doors in the first elevator are a little similar to the ones at the Sacramento Airport
very nice elevator!:)
Thoes glass doors are really cool too!

Yeah you can even partially see the interlock in the right lift too xD
Eww I hate them
this is here kone monospace elevator now again
I wonder how do you service these MRL elevators if say, something happens with the motor? How do you move the car? Or if you need access to the parts at the top of the shaft, like the panel we see at 3:10?
I didn’t know that you go to other countries
Those are 2 awesome elevators right there!
I wonder what the green 33 button does, or why it is that color as opposed to the rest
Yes. Under EN81 standards, there must be a green button for the level you can exit the building.
In Europe, it’s pretty much the star in the US/Canada.
I can imagine 30-27 giving height measurements based on the amount of ft. below sea level.
What camera did you use to record this video?
He used the Sony Handycam HDR-PJ760VE
, Good video
0:29 Why is there a dieselducy on your shoe
I’m not asking to be rude , I’m just curious
It’s a video edit.
Yes I can CLEARLY SEE THAT
Puggy Mastrz5448 it’s an Easter egg
I can't believe that the lowest level is 45th floor and the highest level is 27
They aren’t floors, they are just the depth, since this place is located in a limestone mine.
Kone Monospace (Right)
Kone Monospace Marine (Left)
the left one has the newest model of EcoDisc motor
Why its exposing the shaft??
Rainbow Yoshi This is a laboratory test, upside always must be checked
Door sensor?
Are these Kone ecodisc?
+Jack is Awesome yes
Why’s the floor numbering like that
TrustTheDragon elevation
I love those glass doors!
Silent Video and Silent ride on a elevator
Wonder who clean all that glass
What are these flors
👍
I love you so much
Awesome elevators
Jack is Awesome Are you Liking your own comments? No offense but that's pointless when you do that.
Imagine getting stuck in this
Love kona
27, 30, 33, 45
(High to low)
What the heck is that logic?
Calvin Abad And for security the place is very private I think
Bottom high rise?
Kinda
They put the numbers on the wrong side.
i think fully glass Doors dangerous to me
wow
This elevator called tytyri and made Finland
Wow this is god
HOW DOES THE FLOOR NUMBER INCREASE WHEN GOING DOWN XDDDDDDD
Because it doesn't go higher, it goes deeper, it's an underground skyscraper
