In today’s video we update everyone on our Rod and Reel Arsenal for the 2021 Fishing Season! We talk about Rods like the Googan squad Go-To fishing rod, twitch fishing rod, reaction fishing rod, finesse and finesse light spinning rods, and the Muscle rod in both the green and gold series and talk about the differences between Googan squad gold and green series rods and our full Shimano lineup including the best fishing line to use for each rod and Gear ratio on each one as well.

I believe that was one I picked up from Karl’s bait and tackle although there are a lot of options out there. Woo! Tungsten might be the brand we were using
Since you’re such a swimbait guy maybe which rods you can throw swimbaits on (obviously the muscle) and if you can get away with throwing smaller ones on different rods and line test you would use. Thanks again Westin love the content. Hope you did something nice for Devon for Valentine’s Day ❤️

The next combo i want is a googan gold muscle with a LEWS PRO TI with 50LB braid
for the twich I would go with a shimano curado mgl 70, with 12# mono or 15# floro. you could even do the same with a slx mgl 70....
I’m getting a gold 7’5” muscle rod and a shimano slx on the 30th

I'm getting a muscle rod because I'm pissed because 2 days ago I bought a lews mach 2 and I was going to hang it up on my rod rack and the guide insert just fell out so I didn't even get to use it

Googan rods are alright. (Have the green muscle & gold twitch) I wouldn’t upgrade my entire arsenal to them, even if they were free.

Yeah the Zodias was nice but I couldn’t justify keeping it after snapping the older Swimbait rod and needing a new one. The trade made more sense and now I’ve got those Googan spinning rods so I’m set

Great info Westin thank you, one thing I would like to see y’all do on the next gen rod add the measuring system on all the rods. The markings could be a subtle gold color on the gold series. Just my thoughts . Love all the gear though

What is your opinion on the googan gold vs dobyns rods? I had 3 sierras and thought they were light but weren't very sensitive. Was going to order some googans , what's your opinion in comparing the two?

Legit stuff, man!!! I have a gold Go-to with a shimano DC with 15lb floro and a gold twitch with a Lew's reel. One of the first things I noticed is how the rods load up and cast! I'll be picking up more in the future.

I have the Green Go-To I paired with an SLX DC 150HG, caught my new PB, 6.6. Fantastic combo! 40 lbs braid to 12 fluro leader.

You should get a Daiwa tatula SVTW the 2020 model, I have one and I friken love it, it's amazing and it would pair perfectly on the twitch rod.

Hey man 13 fishing came out with a reel a minute ago but no one seems to have a quality video on it, on UA-cam at least, it’s the 13 fishing Concept BOSS, I know it’s pretty expensive and you could get more content out spending money on other stuff but I don’t even really know what the reel looks like aside from pictures, would be sweet if you picked one up even if you returned it.
The daiwa sv tws Hs 7.3:1 is great for the muscle rod. It's great for light and heavy lures and is a work horse of a reel. Definitely worth it. I have all Shimano except for that one

I ordered a dobyns Sierra med-heavy on Black Friday . As everyone else, my shipment took a LOOOOONG time to get sorted out. Over the next couple months, I would periodically track the pkg, it would say that it was stuck in a postal facility in Texas ... so I finally decided to write TW to see if I could get some help. They apologized and they said the package was lost and that they would re send my rod. It must be my lucky week because I just got the re-sent rod and a few days later, the missing rod ended up coming as well! What a come up! These dobyns Sierra rods are so siiiiiiick!!

Had some BPS gift cards burning a hole in my pocket and ended up ordering a Metanium DC yesterday. I love my 16 and 20 Metaniums so I figured I’d complete the collection. Kinda sucks we got some historically cold weather here in Houston. Can’t decide what rod I’m going to get, leaning towards a Megabass Carbon Head Destroyer or Valkyrie.
Stay away from lews. Stick with the shimanos and daiwas.

Yeah in the house with the vacuum, long story I explained in a previous vid 😂 I was loving that thing for the price.
I ordered The Green GoTo Rod and GoTo bundle box, a muscle box, a revolver from Karl's and I got the muscle bundle box and revolver but the revolver was in the wrong color 😅, the GoTo bundle box had the twitch bundle inside it and they seem to have lost my rod some where... the tracking number went inactive...

I want to get a new feel for my 7’1 Mojo Bass MF (Plastics) and have thought about that reel but not sure how it would pair with it.
Nice collection dude! You'll have a lot more fun with those crankbaits with a lower gear ratio rod. Especially if you're really thinking about tournament fishing.
I hope you still are. Because I'd love to see how someone starts out tournament fishing besides doing what I did and just doing online ones 😂

How do the Googans gold compare to MOJO rod
To be honest it’s not really a viable comparison since the Googan Rods don’t offer a 1-4oz heavy Swimbait rod. I haven’t used any of the standard sized Mojo Bass rods to make the comparison to something like the Go To rod etc. When GS starts making some BIG SWIMBAIT rods I’m sure I’ll be grabbing them!
Let’s see some Diawa reels! They’re great and that’s the brand St.Croix uses with they’re combos I believe
