Excellent video. The only thing I'm going to do different is instead of the tension bar puller I'm just going to use three ratchet straps around the tension bar and my pole

I recently had to replace approximately 17 feet of my chain link fabric on the gate side of my fence. I invested in a Stanley Rachet set and it worked perfectly to stretch the fabric. Your suggestions are reasonable and practical.

I am about to start this process with my adult daughter. We have no fear of tackling the job, we have watched several videos and reaped useful information from all of them. We will make our shopping list first, from doing very thorough decision making and measuring. Next we will buy our necessary materials, but using your brilliant advise, get the best materials for the best money. One thing I have determined through the years, is product quality has really dropped and you have to be cautious of buying certain materials from the big box stores, as they can be very inferior. As our weather improves here in Oregon, we will dig our post holes. As the weather warms we will cement our posts in, give them plenty of time to get set firmly. Than the joyous day of installing the fence. This is a project I am very excited about. Thank you for your great video.

I had a bunch of springs off an old trampoline laying around and put like 15 on the wire to pull it. Granted your 2x4 improvised stretcher looked like it would do fine and more than likely a better job than my springs method but I had springs in a shed like 10 feet away and thought“why the hell not try it?”. Lol we make do with what we have sometimes. BTW Great video!

Thanks for the info I struggled with the first 2 small runs until I watched your video. Considering I got quote's for upward of 8500.00 dollars from contractors to do 250 feet of fence and I bought all the materials for 2500 it is very rewarding doing it yourself about 6000 dollar s rewarding and 4 days time😁

I have a question: if a have a straight run of 280 ft of 4 foot chain link do I only need to have terminal posts at the ends? Or is it too much chain link- too heavy?
