I have spent numerous days researching this, yours is THE ONLY video that was specific and thorough enough to truly help walk me through the entire assembly. Thank you
I've seen numerous....a ton of videos on this but yours is probably one of the best (just being fair to those I have not seen). You are not racing through each step and yet not slow enough to get me bored. Thanks for the video. It is much appreciated.
This is the best video for one reason...you actually give distances and measurements as well as talking about removing excess and meshing fence together. About to go outside and do my stretching and this made me feel a lot better about it.
Thanks very much for putting this up. I'm on a major budget and the local fence company wanted $2600 dollars for 100 foot of fence and two single gates. So I've started doing it myself. This video really helps. Thanks again.
Very helpful way of doing it right the first time. Thank you and keep posting more how to do things, this way you are helping many of us. Thank you again!
Nice video ..I've been putting up fences here in the Netherlands for almost 25 years and i always look for postings of people putting up fences all around the world because of professional interest thanks for the posting
I'll let you guys know tomorrow... cause my brother and I are going to install a real easy stretch tomorrow. This video sure explained a lot to me! Thanks.
This is a residential fence, we use 11 gauge chain link and .075 pipe. These are heavy specs, you can't buy this material at Home Depot. We are a 75 year old family business, we have a fantastic reputation because of our work and honesty so, I must disagree with you on all accounts.
Good video. A few pointers. 1.) It's stronger to have the top rail pieces connect together next to a post and not in the center of the section. 2.) For the double gate they make a part called a drop rod assembly, which looks a little better, bolt on, and is lockable 3.) If you use a small piece of chain to wrap around the post and connect to cablejack to that instead of wrapping it around the pole its less wear on the cable and makes your tool last longer. 4.) I didn't see a 9 gauge tension wire at the bottom.
This video was fantastic. I actually got half way through (part 1) and then ended it quickly when I realized that you were not explaining in detail.....like this, what you were doing. Thanks for the second video. The first one should be burned. ;)
This is a fantastic video. I wish we had watched it before doing ours. Any chance you have anything on custom building very large drive gates (82" each gate panel, 4' tall)? We don't have the option of putting a drive gate on casters since the gate opening is in a confined space.
The gate looks fine but why is the top rail so uneven and crooked....?? There are places along the gate that are 2-3" higher than other spots. Did you not set the support poles level?
great video. but shouldn't there run a wire all along the bottom part of the link so you can't lift it up ? this might be a local requirement though. ....
About how much would a about 13 to15 ft long chainlink fence cost installed and all by a pro? I'm asking because someone wanted to charge me 600 and I think is a bit to much. What is your opinion?
Thank you for the video! What are the specifications of the band saw you use here? I'm looking to get one to cut a galvanized pipe, and I want to make sure I get the right one. Thank you!
Seems the main thing is the posts should be installed vertical and not tilted in an attempt to match the grade. The top rail would be angled as needed to keep it parallel with the slope of the ground.
What kind of a drill bit goes through the chain link poles? That's what I've had the hardest time with. Home Depot must have told me the wrong kind because all the bits I tried dulled out before I was able to get half way through. Help?
The gate has metal pieces shaped sort of like a J that hold the gate mess to the smaller "rod". Does anyone know what that is? I bought a gate and it only had two on one side and three on the other so I asked to have it sent out to me. They sent me a tension band. That is not what I am looking for. It is not a piece you need to put on as it should already be on it but my gate was missing one.
Great video....clear instructions, not too much talking, easy to follow. Thanks for posting🤙🏾

Chain link fences aren't very nice to look at but this fence is as nice as it can be. Great work, great video, thanks.

Number 4 is my same question. The tension wire at the bottom.
Very nice,I've been a licensed installer since 1998
Pay no attention to haters
this video made me recognize that I need a professional for my job.
Yep. I'm not going to hunt down these weirdo tools.

This video was fantastic. I actually got half way through (part 1) and then ended it quickly when I realized that you were not explaining in detail.....like this, what you were doing. Thanks for the second video. The first one should be burned. ;)
Mowing the lawn 8:07 is going to be a pain.
Best to be sure of property lines. In the future, it could be a problem.

Give us a week. We will post a video on how to build a custom 4' tall chain link double gate, we will be sure to cover all concerns.

Thank you for your posting. It helps a lot. But how many terminal posts should I install if my chain link fence is 250 ft long? Thanks!
Buen trabajo carnales , saludos desde cuernavaca Morelos México.
So what are you gonna use this video to come take more of our jobs?
The gate looks fine but why is the top rail so uneven and crooked....?? There are places along the gate that are 2-3" higher than other spots. Did you not set the support poles level?
Hello! Great video and clear instructions. I have bulges or stretched areas in my fence from a horse rubbing on it. How do I fix those places?
great video. but shouldn't there run a wire all along the bottom part of the link so you can't lift it up ? this might be a local requirement though. ....
The wire at the bottom is for extra stiffening.
Did you use any tension string on the bottom? And when exactly do you put the tension string on the bottom? Towards the end or beginning
Awesome. But I have a question u didn't put cimint right?
Concrete?
Sir, what is the name of the object which you pulled the net with?
Great video! Any chance you guys could do one on how to install chain link fence on a hill?
I will see what we can do. Those are tricky but we can install on just about any grade. Like anything there are tricks.

Where can we buy chain link fence for couples feet .because we don’t want to long just 10 feet
About how much would a about 13 to15 ft long chainlink fence cost installed and all by a pro? I'm asking because someone wanted to charge me 600 and I think is a bit to much. What is your opinion?
Sounds about right
Thank you for the video! What are the specifications of the band saw you use here? I'm looking to get one to cut a galvanized pipe, and I want to make sure I get the right one. Thank you!
good vid, but I'm not sure what is going on when you say "Joint together."
Hands down, best comment
When you gave to join one end of chain link to another chain link in order to. Make longer if need be
Is the same principles apply if you are installing a 4' fence on uneven ground; hills?
Seems the main thing is the posts should be installed vertical and not tilted in an attempt to match the grade. The top rail would be angled as needed to keep it parallel with the slope of the ground.
What kind of a drill bit goes through the chain link poles? That's what I've had the hardest time with. Home Depot must have told me the wrong kind because all the bits I tried dulled out before I was able to get half way through. Help?
don't use drill bits for wood. there's a difference in drill bits, they aren't all the same.
Straight to the point! Love it!
where to buy the materals to build the fence?
I not sure what you mean when you say when weaving fence together must use double not two single? could you explain what you mean? thank you...
Old Timer well it’s been three years... still want an explanation?

Best video i've seen

Thanks for posting! This was helpful!
Nice.. i want make it basket field.. how the implementation..

Did you make the stretching tool yourself? Also it appears that the posts aren't cemented yet is that so?
You set the post in cement first. Let it set for a few days then finish the fence.
Hello, so all posts are 10 feet apart from each other? And also EVERY post has to be cemented?
how much do you charge for a 100' 4' or 6' high black chain link fence install, material and labour

Great video with well said details :) Ty. Jeff
What about the tension wire at the bottom of the fence?
Use it if you have dogs you want to keep in.
Ok, let me rephrase the comment. How do you install the tension wire at the bottom of the fence?
How do you install a chain link fence but with wooden pickets instead of chain link?
Raymond Alexander instead of the iron post just use "3 by 3, or 4 by 4's"!
then that wouldn't be a "chain-link" fence. change your search.
nice stop rod.
