If you don't have an invitation letter, it’s important to provide other documents or information that clearly explain your travel intentions and plans. For instance, if you are traveling for tourism, you should prepare hotel reservations and an itinerary. For business trips, having details of meetings and business-related document is beneficial.
Additionally, it's good for you to meet these general entry requirements:
1. Valid Passport and Visa / 2. Proof of Intent to Return / 3. Sufficient Financial Means

If the port of entry is different but eventually you still transitioning to the exact destination what happens?
When you enter the US, your first port of entry is where you will go through the immigration process, even if it's not your final destination. Here's what happens:
1. Immigration Check: At your first port of entry, you will go through the immigration check where an officer will review your passport, visa (if required), and ask questions about your visit.
2. Baggage Claim: After clearing immigration, you will need to collect your checked luggage, even if it is tagged to your final destination.
3. Customs: You will then proceed to customs where you may need to declare any items you are bringing into the country.
4. Connecting Flight: Once you have cleared customs, you will re-check your luggage for your connecting flight to your final destination. You will also go through security again before boarding your next flight.
So, even if your final destination is different from your port of entry, you must complete all entry procedures at the first US airport you arrive at. 😀
