Couple things: Those that pointed out the screen filter Ducati Scrambler service manual recommends cleaning the mesh filter on the initial (600 mile) service. Second, you should change the drain plug “crush washer” each time you change the oil. Third, you need to torque the drain plug as required.
Sehr gutes Video für Beginner! Achtung!!! Er vergisst den Dichtungsring der Ablassschraube zu wechseln!!! Mir wurde von einem Mechaniker erklärt, dass diese immer gewechselt werden muss. Normalerweise sind die Dinger bei den Wechelkits immer dabei.
Nicely made video! Thanks for posting. Just a question or two. I noticed you didn't change the crush washer. Do you reuse yours? And lets say, hypothetically, that I opened the wrong plug on the belly pan when I was changing my oil (OK, I really did. Busted), why is that plug there? My oil still drained out (perhaps a slight bit less than from the correct one, if this other plug is not the lowest point of the belly pan). I actually had to drain from here as my actual drain plug was stripped, and needed the bike up and running in a hurry. Tried to research what this other plug was for, but couldn't find out much about it.
Hi, nice video. A few things. What Torque Setting is it for the Oil Drain Plug Bolt to tighter in Nm? Also, what Torque settings did you torque the oil filter at? So the Oi Filter does not leak? Cheers! I don't think you use a 5mm Allen key. Cheers Though.
you got the min and max oil level at the small circle window on your bikes right engine side. put the bike in a straight position and check the level. if the oil is in between those two lines you are good to go.

Do you know the size of the crush washer?
nice job! Simple and good thing we all can do each year
Great videos, can you make one how to remove the mesh filter. I can get the exhaust s out. I think I might damage them.
Filling oil in oil filter pretty common in the car world. That precious oil pump
Like your style bro. I have a Monster 1000 Dark. Putting a new clutch in it tomorrow. Cheers!
How do you reset the service light?
Hi. How did you reset service oil change light?

How do you reset the oil service light??? Thanks
From what I’ve heard, Ducati has to do it.
Really well done mate!

I think you took off the 14mm nut which holds the Oil Filter. Not a big problem, as long as you put it back in at the correct Torque.
You should clean the face where the oil filter seals against before refitting new filter

Oil Drain Plug: 20Nm. Oil Filter: 11Nm. Oil Strainer Plug: 42Nm. NOTE: lots of places state Oil Drain Plug as 42Nm, which is way too high.
Thanks.👍
3.3 liters it’s ok?
Link to the oil drain pan?
should use oil grade 40 or 50 bro? Tks
Ducati recommends 15w-50 but have seen reputable guys use full synthetic 10w-40.
Nicely done. 👍🏽
Great video... I was looking for this, maybe you took it down?
I did take it down for a bit. I needed to make a change and wasn't able to edit the video until recently.
nice
I guess you don't have that Ducati anymore?
How much Helium did you inhale before this Video ??,,,,Good video by the way !!
If that's a crush washer and you reuse it it will leak like a sieve.
vamos!! g8 n neat bro
many other things need to be checked not just oil change
dude you sad CCW and turned you ratchet CW for the drain plug :)))
How do you know when the level of oil is low? Thanks

Thanks I just check the filter part notice some leaking oil hope it’s just the filter
It's 15w50 my friend... it is that type of oil for a reason...
Is the weight for a 2018 icon too?
