Jumped back on a Skateboard today for the first time in 14 years. Bought a classic Baker board and I did the biggest ollie I've ever done! That muscle memory is still there :)

Be careful on the confidence front though lol. I skate regularly, but after the long winter gap this last year I tried ollie manualling a pad out of the big deep end of my skatepark and, while I thought I was in perfect position to manual, I actually caught my back trucks and ended up cracking my ribs pretty bad. Couldn't skate for a month. Sometimes your brain cashes checks your body bounces haha.

I put together my 1st ever board a few days ago so happy i got on it (1st time ever on a board) and fell straight off. FIRST TRY

My local park is "Hemer Landesgartenschau" or "Rollgarten" y'all should check it out on UA-cam, it's arguably the best looking Skatepark in West Germany. But that's just my personal opinion :)

I feel for you, I broke my ankle and the only thing motivating me was getting back on a board. Stay determined and you'll get there eventually! It's a long, slow process of healing sadly but it'll get better in time. Wishing you well in your recovery :).
