@@Shrimpyyyyyyyy Someone posted it as a public domain image, doesn't mean it's legally a public domain image. Whomever posted it would be the one to go after as from the sounds of it they didn't own the image directly. On top of that, the owner of the IP(intellectual property) to the image is the one that took the image, so her friend actually owns the IP to the image(And not the one that uploaded it), and not her.
Then you have the issue that most people that have made money from it have done so as parody, which has a protectections use under US law.
Plus, she can't directly make money off the image herself, or the character- as it would infringe on goosebumps own intellectual property, unless she does it as parody- and even then if there is any merch or stuff sold directly using their trademarks than whomever sells the image would then potentially be in hot water with goosebumps lawyers.
So either way, it's gonna be hard to make any money from this meme.

I have to admit, it's a little amusing that she's having a go at everyone who finds it funny, obviously forgetting she created the character in the first place because she found it funny. As a furry... holy crap!!! She got invited to some odd furry gathering, drugged without consent, and yet she still had nice things to say about us?! She's so sweet! @@dr.schlopp4089 I think she tried to keep the video PG. Also, she didn't say one way or the other. But the fact, that she was surprised to start randomly tripping. That is key info that she didn't know about the drugs.
@@VitoVeccia She was never surprised tho? She knew ahead of time that the food was infused because the chef literally told her (mentioned at 5:24 in the video). So she didn't just randomly start tripping, she knew she was going to trip cause it takes about an hour to start tripping, or around that timeframe. It's just when she started tripping she had a furry cat rubbin on her legs and decided "Yeahh maybe this is to much to trip to" and wanted to leave. Then wrapped up the story by saying "Nothing sinister happened". So there is a lot of key info that she did in fact know the food was infused. Also if she was drugged by surprise she wouldn't know what drug it was at all, but in the video she knew what it was but just didn't say

As a single mom, one of my favorite times was reading Goosebumps bumps with my son. Usually at night as a bedtime story. Well now he's gotten older and into the guitar and I'm like, "Can we finish off those Goosebumps books??" And he looks at me like I'm crazy because he's too old for those now, lol. There is no shame in it! I think as long as people read a variety of things, they should read whatever they want. It's the people who rigidly only read one genre (and I include highbrow literary fiction when I say that) who worry me.

I love how she is being such a great role model and reassuring young girls/kids that reading is a good thing and nothing to ever be ashamed of. Books got me through a lot when I was little and reading is a great, educational hobby. Keep being awesome!!

I'm glad to hear you're okay with the meme, but ouch the internet can be so messy! When I see the meme, I don't think of it in a negative way. I see it exactly as how you described the night, dressing up and taking goofy photos (as I have done in growing up as well). Crazy to hear the story behind it!
The lesson for me was that if you get to accidentally be a meme you will be invited to parties. 😂
