Hurricane Helene Remnants: Short Timelapse

- The remnants of Hurricane Helene were absolutely insane. Winds were sustained around 30-45 mph (50-70 kmh), and wind gusts upwards of 70 mph (113 kmh!) This caused over 100,000 people to lose power in my area. We were lucky to only have our power flicker 6 times during these winds.
I hope everyone who was involved in Hurricane Helene and the remnants of it is okay. This was overall the worst natural disaster in southwestern Ohio, and southeastern Indiana had since the remnants of Hurricane Ike (2008)

Yikes! I’m guessing you live in Tennessee/Kentucky area? I don’t know what specific area of the US it’s called 🤔
That thing was a monster though! It’s devastated everything with its massive storm surge! 😞
I actually live in Southwestern Ohio, about 20 miles north of the Kentucky border.
@@Pianofire35I also live in Ohio 💀
@@Pianofire35 is Kentucky close to Ohio?
@@AhiyanTheSigma it borders the state
@Pianofire35 Ohio? Nice! 👍
It went pretty far…
It’s an awful situation in all places directly impacted by the hurricane. Of course, Florida got the worst of it, but Asheville, NC (where we lived for two years when my kids were very young) is now cut off from the outside world. A city of over 100,000 people. Two nearby dams face imminent collapse, and the downstream effects will be catastrophic.
Oh No! I hope that your local dams won't collapse!
@@Pianofire35 Thank you, PF. We live in Nashville now, so we are safe. As of this morning, somewhat miraculously, both dams in Asheville are still holding.
Oh. I still hope you are safe!
@@Pianofire35 Thank you!
