Thank you for this! Took my pietta model apart several months ago, thought I lost some parts and pieces but everything was still there! Video helped solve a great mystery in my life!
That peg that retains the loading gate is a detent, and the spring that follows it a detent spring. Anyway, cool vid. I needed it to get mine back together. Its a cool gun. Nicer than my Heratage. Im surprised you don't have a lot more views. Anyway, thanks again 🇺🇲
I have one these & i'm having a problem with the loading gate being a little lose, could it be the gate spring or the correct way to install it back in?
Yes it probably is a problem with your gate spring, it needs to be replaced. Or there usually a little metal rod that goes in with the spring, could be missing as well
Thanks for this video! I just got one from my buddy to fix. The cylinder is having a hard time functioning and really hard to pull trigger and hammer? I'm guessing something internal? Is this a common issue?
Thank you for watching. Yes if the cylinder wont turn, and a hard trigger pull, I would say you have at least 1 broken springs if not 2. All internal parts
I just picked up the exact same revolver but it only came with a 22Mag cylinder. Do you know if a Heritage Rough Rider cyclinder will work on this revolver since they are both small frame and just about the same design and size? Has anyone ever tried to fit one on this gun?
I do not know if that cylinder will work, I would let a gunsmith look and tell you for sure. It may fit and it may rotate, but the cylinder may not line up with the barrel. Safety first. And please if you have it looked at, let me know if it works or not
Thanks. I found an original new cylinder for the revolver on ebay. Would it be possible for you to photocopy or scan the original pamphlet so that can buy a copy from you? It would be nice to have it and be able to keep with revolver. The schematic is great to have. Thanks
From what I've read on different forums, although the Heritage Rough Rider is based on the same design, there are dimensional differences. The HS revolvers are mechanically identical to Tanfoglio revolvers imported by FIE under their own name, Excam, Armi Tanfoglio, and Tanarmi among others, with model names of Buffalo Scout, E15, P22, TA22, and TA76. They were made both with and without a manually operated safety. FIE eventually began assembling them in the US with imported parts and finally began making them here. Somewhere in this process some of the dimensions changed, as well as the way the safety operates. This updated design is the same as the Heritage Rough Rider. You can find the correct cylinders on eBay and Gunbroker. The schematic can be found on the Numrich Arms website.
I would lubricate heavily, let it sit, that should help you out. Also try to push it further into the cylinder before trying to pull the cylinder pin out
Tommy Scovel, only place is to find old guns, and scavenge parts. No parts are made for this gun anymore. Although some parts with a little mod can work from other single actions
I just bought one of these today, but it won't fire a thing! I've taken it apart, cleaned everything, and it all seems like it's in good shape, but it acts like the firing pin isn't long enough to hit the back of the bullets. How far does your firing pin stick out? Or is there some special kind of .22LR ammo that this gun takes?
I fixed this one for a customer. The firing pin shouldnt have to stick out very far. Is there a lot of play in the cylinder? If you were close you could bring it to my shop. You can find me on face book BenchMark arms LLC
There's no play in the cylinder. I notice that when the hammer is cocked, the firing pin isn't flush with the body; it's recessed a bit in its hole. Is that normal? If it were long enough to be flush, then it would be long enough to reach the bullets.

I have a Rohm Mod 66 with a broken spring for the loading gate. It flaps freely. Can you show me how to replace the spring? Thank you.

+DONALD Gilbert i replied on FB

I have one of these in excellent condition. about how much is it worth?
it perfect condition 250-300 dollars, thats with both cylinders (22lr, &22mag), and both sets of grips
ok thank you for such a quick response, does it help that it is in the original box with book and cleaning rods?
Original box and parts do make a difference, but not enough to get rich off of. Thank you
U want to sell it
My cylinder rod seems stuck. Advice?

That's one way of saying your blind
How come nobody takes the firing pin out?
Cause it is pinned to the hammer, no need to remove it
Oh ok mine has a spring loaded one in the frame. Thanks!

how about with the cylinder out, hammer down in firing position, doe the pin extend to wher the cylinder would be?
