Johan!! I enjoyed your restoration of the Superfast! I guess, perhaps in the future your vigourish installations of screws will be backed off to not lose a pillar again.( I WOULD paint another screw head that yellow and just glue it in. ) Your paint work was spot on! I was worried the heavy blue enamel paint was hiding some problems. Your parts drawer must be "Alladin's Cave!!" Well done!! The reveal sequence at the end was amazingly gratifying!! Thanks, Stephen! Indeed, I am a little forceful when tightening te screws. But those pillars were really too thin to tap to begin with. If it hadn't snapped at first, it would probably have snapped while screwing on the bottom plate. Like you suggest, I might glue in a screw to keep it neat and tidy. And yes, the blue paint hid a cracked window. Glad you liked the video! 🙂
