But as I spent more time researching on this topic, I realized that behind all the glitz and glam and love of fans, this career is actually extremely demanding. Kpop idols are expected to be as fit as athletes. Being a kpop artist automatically entails having (more than average) stamina, high level of perseverance, and capability to work their asses off. Now I know that's not fair to ask so much of a human being, but that's just how cut-throat the industry is, and there are idols who live up to those high standards. So, if Jennie is the kind of person who "gets tired easily" or has "difficulty walking up stairs", then she prolly should not have chosen the idol life. Nor do I think this is a valid excuse to defend her with. There must be some other reason behind the sudden deterioration in her performance quality. She wasn't this way before. If her lack of stamina were the culprit, it would've shown since debut. But the Jennie we know has never been that way. Something else must be bothering her, and we should acknowledge that & try to be supportive instead of trying to hide it/make lame excuses.

I’m not a blink but I always thought her performances for SOLO were still pretty good, despite the whole issue with her being lazy on blackpink’s tour. However, her stage presence and confidence on this particular performance was honestly so on point, I was blown away, and imo this has been her best performance of SOLO period.

Of course you don't understand that because you have not experienced it nor you never will, you'll never see a "constructive critic" repeated thousands of thousands of times, sometimes with another kind of "sweet" words added to the "constructive sentences". What I really hope you will learn when YOU grow up is that there is nothing more important that the mental stability and security over yourself, and nothing is more important than that, and that social media can be really harmful even if is for a "constructive critic", because there is no balance between saying something friendly to someone that you know and saying something to someone that you don't know and you will never know.

Jennie already said it more than once - she has health problems. She already feels super tired when she walks up stairs. And whenever she does something exhausting like dancing, she feels tired really easily and if she dances a lot, it even makes her feel like she is about to faint. So of course performing a whole concert is difficult for her

@@rosepark2669 No offense but... why did she chose this career then? When I first entered the world of kpop, I too used to think that being a kpop idol must be the most amazing thing in the world. But as I spent more time researching on this topic, I realized that behind all the glitz and glam and love of fans, this career is actually extremely demanding. Kpop idols are expected to be as fit as athletes. Being a kpop artist automatically entails having (more than average) stamina, high level of perseverance, and capability to work their asses off. Now I know that's not fair to ask so much of a human being, but that's just how cut-throat the industry is, and there are idols who live up to those high standards. So, if Jennie is the kind of person who "gets tired easily" or has "difficulty walking up stairs", then she prolly should not have chosen the idol life. Nor do I think this is a valid excuse to defend her with.
There must be some other reason behind the sudden deterioration in her performance quality. She wasn't this way before. If her lack of stamina were the culprit, it would've shown since debut. But the Jennie we know has never been that way. Something else must be bothering her, and we should acknowledge that & try to be supportive instead of trying to hide it/make lame excuses.
I wish this comment blew up because I’ve been trying to point this out but I get replies saying “ you’re a fake blink ! “ like excuse you. Just because I like someone does not mean I should ignore their mistakes. I’m still a blink and will forever be a blink. Every fan and every idol should be professional and address all issues that may or may not be true to avoid bigger problems. To those petty fans, grow up.
I just now realize that both jennie's earpiece are not intact the whole performance and she still nailed it not her best solo performance vocally but still its hard to sing without it cause she cant hear her own voice and in 1:53 she kinda mess up a little (btw if you dont know earpiece/in-ear is for you to hear your own voice clearly and the other one is like a guide/cues on how the camera works and for idols to hear the music clearly so they wont miss the spot in music)

I’m not a blink but I always thought her performances for SOLO were still pretty good, despite the whole issue with her being lazy on blackpink’s tour. However, her stage presence and confidence on this particular performance was honestly so on point, I was blown away, and imo this has been her best performance of SOLO period.
Jennie has this amazing, very stable voice that’s so insanely powerful it makes people immediately get charmed. Plus unlike Rosé, her voice sounds the same here and in the music videos, and the other ones containing Jennie music. But Rosé’s voice kinda cracks
