AIM:
Using a simple pendulum, plot its L-T2 graph and use it to find the effective length of second's pendulum.
Apparatus:
A Clamp With Stand
Bob with Hook
Split Cork
Stop Clock/Stop Watch
Vernier Callipers
Cotton Thread
Half Meter Scale
Theory:
A simple pendulum consists of a heavy metallic (brass) sphere with a hook (bob) suspended from a rigid stand, with clamp by a weightless inextensible and perfectly flexible thread through a slit cork, capable of oscillating in a single plane, without any friction, with a small amplitude (less than 150) as shown in figure 6.1 (a). There is no ideal simple pendulum. In practice, we make a simple pendulum by tying a metallic spherical bob to a fine cotton stitching thread.

There are small errors in this video.
Error #1: At 6:55 the counting of the oscillations started from 1. This is an error in simple pendulum (or counting) experiments, counting of oscillations MUST ALWAYS start from 0. Therefore the number of oscillations taken in this video were not 20. They were 19
Error #2: At 7:33 on the obs. table; For the first row, Mean time for 23+24+24 = 23.67 not 22.66. The calculation for the Period, T = 1.18 is however correct because the Teacher used 23.66 not 22.66

In 4:25 how the value of effective length of string be 32.9 cm where I am getting 37.03 cm . It is a Wrong calc

So 32.9 plus 0.93 plus 1.1 equals 34.93 rounded to 35
All good ignored small errors, but there is a conceptual blunder! that cannot be ignored. At 10.59 the biggest mistake is : You should start from the very definition of Seconds Pendulum, and T=2, T^2 = 4, then come to length. You did it in such a way that as if you know length of seconds pendulum is 100cm, that baffles the whole purpose of this experiment.
