It is important to make eye contact in an English speaking country
If you ask about speaking exam duration, it is not necessary to maintain eye contact as OET examiners alwasy check the audio recording

Before starting the role you should ask the interlocutor like (How may I address the patient during the role play )and during conversation you should ask the name of the parents like ( for my better communication how may I call you or let me know your name please)
