I have read like 3 Stephen King books and Carrie was my favorite ! It is not scary, don't worry about that. I've always been interested in the Running Man also. I was really amused about your TBR being like "and you get a thriller ! And you get a Thriller ! And you get a Horror" I have read another Silvia Moreno-Garcia and loved her writting style, it's very pretty.
I love your TBR for October. I have read Hidden Pictures, to me it was not scary, the pictures added an extra element to the story but it is more like a suspenseful thriller than horror. I think someone mislabeled the genre on this one but I enjoyed it. I look forward to seeing your October vlogs.
I’m the most scared, and I could watch Carrie, so I think you’ll be fine! I’m reading Remarkably Bright Creatures in October as well, as one of our book club picks, if you wanna talk about it after 😊 I’m looking forward to it! Enjoy all your thrillers!
Hidden Pictures actually sounds so good and will definitely be keeping my eye out for this! I could never blindly pick my tbr in fear of just getting the same genre every time 😂 I absolutely love Carrie and I’m fully wishing I still had it on my shelves! It’s not that scary and more just dark and twisty, so you should be A ok reading it! ❤
I've read maybe 3 Stephen King books (The Shining, It and Carrie) and Carrie definitely was the least scary. It was a super quick read for me! And if you ever need new horror/thriller recommendations: I recently read White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson and loved the haunted house/psychological thriller vibe❤
Tiffany also wrote a retelling of Carrie called The Weight of Blood that I really enjoyed. It’s more gory than Carrie but I wouldn’t call either of them horror
Remarkably bright creatures has a great audio version if that helps? And it’s not really a mystery even though it has a mystery- it’s very lit fic coded! Good luck!
Carrie honestly wasn’t even scary…just weird in my opinion. I’ve never read the book though. I can’t imagine it being too different from the movie. If you’re scared, watch the movie first…the book will be far more detailed and expressive, as books usually are when compared to the visual adaptations, and then go back to the book to fill in the details that were left out.
If it makes you feel any better I’m a complete wimp with horror films and neither Carrie film scared me. I don’t know about the book, but the films weren’t scary to me
Atleast its seasonally appropriate? 😭
If it was gonna happen any month October was definitely the best choice 😅😅
This TBR: "Who's afraid of little old me? YOU SHOULD BE"
🤣🤣🤣🤣 omg YESSS
The fact that you kept having it flipped the right way, and the you’d flip it over😭😭😭
Literally every. Single. Time. 😅😅
The Villa is sooo good. Your TBR is for sure giving spooky season 👻
I’m excitedddd 😻😻
behind her eyes is great!! you'll love it
Yay!!! I’ve heard nothing but good things 🙏🏻☺️
Carrie is a very interesting read, but also quite easy to enjoy! Hope you like it😊
Thank youuu 🩷🩷

Honestly I’ll probably enjoy it more if it’s a suspenseful thriller over a horror haha. I’m looking forward to it either way 🥰🩷

Oh my gosh yay!! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts ☺️😇
I think Carrie will also scratch that adhd itch bc it has things like news articles and things like that
Oooh I didn’t know that!!! That’s actually made me more excited 👀

I’m reading hidden pictures for book club right now, I’m about halfway through it so far and really enjoying it !!
Oooh yay!! This makes me excited to get to it 🥰😇
Carrie isn't as scary as pet cemetery, so you'll be okay.
I own pet cemetery too 😅 …I’ll work up to that one haha
Ahh I hope you love them all 🫢🤭🫣
Thank you 🥹🥹 (so do I 😅🤪)
The Shining is scarier than Carrie. It's a fun mental thriller too.
@@EricaSalyers-e1r oooh I love anything psychological! Might have to try that one next 😇

Ooh I’ve not heard of that one. But I LOVE a psychological thriller 😇😇

Yayy🥹🥹 thank you for being here 🩷🥰
I think it is a great TBR especially for this time of year. But then again, I my favorite genres are thriller and horror. Good Luck!
Thank youu 😇☺️
The Running Man is awesome
🤪🥰
Hilarious video this week!! And we get to buddy read “Carrie” 🎉
(Also, I rated The Villa 4.5⭐️)
Yayyyyy 😇😇😇
It is the month of October spooky season. Those thriller/horror books are begging to be read.
They REALLY are 😅😅
Not gonna lie, Mexican gothic is probably scarier than Carrie so.. Goodluck ❤
Oh no 😅😅😩 I don’t know if I’m ready haha
Remarkably bright creatures has a great audio version if that helps? And it’s not really a mystery even though it has a mystery- it’s very lit fic coded! Good luck!
Ooh that’s good to know, thank you 🩷😇🥰

This is actually such a good point!! Although my main issue with horror films are the jump scares 😅😅

That DOES make me feel better. Thank you!!! 😅🩷
Where did you get your book cart from? It's so cute! ^.^
It’s from Amazon! I just searched for tbr cart and this was the first one to come up (had a bunch of colours if I remember correctly) ☺️
Carrie is a great book - not a horror. But a twisted mom and a girl who's bullied.
It’s not horror?? good to know!! ☺️
I would call this a perfect tbr, the gods of halloween were working here
They were working overtime 😅😅
That is an October TBR 😂
For SURE 😅🤣
