This is good! Depending on variants and sources Alucard is the son of Dracula and in others he is Dracula under a new name, just literally spelled backwards. Which is cool.

Exactly Chazo! Smart cookie!!! I was going for the version of Dracula who would walk among the humans using his name backwards to do this deeds, because he couldn't always do said deeds by shadows. Sometimes he had to mingle with humans to get it done. I also like the son of Dracula version of Alucard, and to me both can exist in the same universe. I just see it as Dracula did it first, and later his some was named the same alternate name of his father. Thanks for the comment, it was a great one! 🦇🦇🦇

I’m vaguely familiar with the Castlevania and Hellsing versions, does he exist in any other literature or movies?

@@SpiderGuy616 This website should answer your inquiry: vampires.fandom.com/wiki/Alucard_(Universal) In a nutshell.. The name "Alucard" is also used by other characters, including sometimes as an alias by Dracula himself as the name is literally Dracula backwards. Also yes, the name has been used, or at least alluded to in quite a few vampire films over the years. Thanks for your comment, & question Spidy. Happy to help!
