36:04 My second frame
It is the easiest way how to make a frame that keeps a good tension. I’ll be honest with you. It is not my favourite one. But if I need to make it by myself, probably this one I can do if I have all tools.
What I don’t like about this frame? It is not the easiest frame ever to scroll. I am that person who switches between approaches every couple weeks. I like to stitch here and there and try something new. If it takes 10 mins to set up a frame it puts me down a little bit.
But it definitely keeps a good tension if you use hard wood.
My “go to” horizontal bars are 90 cm. 3.5x3.5. Vertical rods are better to have 35-40 cm. 8mm thick. If it is wide one, I can stitch on the bottom part, turn it and stitch on the top without any problem. So, less work for scrolling.
A couple words about the design.
I call it “Magic Night”. It is 253k in total. And it is not a priority at the moment. I have plans to take it seriously later next year. When I am done with my other cross stitching WIP - “Scholar” and “A Little Girl”. I took it this time to show you my frame that easy to create. Probably, we will see this WIP sometime in July. Let’s see.

@maribelle270 right. With thin wood it does not hold tension in the middle and, probably, thin rods can give some pain as well.

Hello. Where do you purchase your needles since you use so many in one project? Do you purchase them in bulk?
Hi Kim! I bought all my needles from AliExpress. They are not very high quality, but as far as they don’t damage the thread it is fine for me

28th is in a better quality. They are a little bit more expensive. I use them for 18th and 25th canvas counts
@@StitchingAndSmiling Thank you for the update. Etsy also sells bulk needles in either 50 or 100 count, although they are more expensive than Aliexpress.
@kimcox99 yeah. And on Etsy there are needles even with lower quality than on Ali. And they might buy from Ali and sell on Etsy. Never know if it is not known brand
What is asmr?

ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) is a physical and psychological experience that combines pleasurable and relaxing sensations in response to specific stimuli.
In my case I mark videos as ASMR that contain different sounds of stitching which meant to be relaxing. On some channels ASMR related you might find soft talks, whisper, music and such.
