I really appreciate you pointing out this black history. As a native New Yorker I had the pleasure of visiting Sag Harbor many times. And it’s still one of my favorite places.
I was glad to see that American Beach in Jacksonville FL was still considered a Black Beach. While visiting there back in the early 2000s I heard that there was a move to take over that Beach by developers who were not interested in recognizing Black history.
In New Orleans Louisiana some time.in the early or middle sixty's our Black beach named Lincoln beach was what ever reason was taken and closed. A long time ago.
Brother can you say "those enslaved" vs calling our ancestors "slaves." They were people. Time to write our own narrative. Love your vids, thank you for your work.
So much black American history that’s it’s hard to keep track of here’s a documentary Oprah did on it a few years ago!! 👇🏿👇🏿 ua-cam.com/video/QoniFMtSXcw/v-deo.html
Interesting! I didn’t know that a strip of Santa Monica beach was referred to as the Inkwell, since I have only heard of the name being associated with Oak Bluffs.
There is a historical black Beach located off Key Biscayne in Miami just remodeled and opened in the last 2 years the only Beach black people could go to at that time
Atlantic Beach used to be the going place for many blacks near and far years a go. Now there is nothing there anymore. My Uncle Thelton had a patio there and it would be jumping. The town is run down because of drugs and crime. My dad told me during his younger years; you'd see lots of black entertainers there like Little Richard, James Brown and so many others.
I love the you are showing the our story but you have to do your homework. Please stop the slave narrative we know the truth now if you don't you need to do research I say this in love
I don't understand why black people think they should be hurded together every time they go on a vacation IE beach parks .To be a successful person visit other countries cultures that are our own learn different languages .If black people want to always be together why leave the ghetto just stay home. Learning is powerful knowledge and education.
Who remember the movie “The Inkwell”
I .seen the movie The inkwell doing covid. On UA-cam. It was great.

I've been to Atlantic Beach; it is most definitely a pearl! Love it...now shhh it's "our" secret.🤐
Am so glad that i took my late mother to Oak Bluffs.. Martha's Vineyard was a beautiful elegant resort.. ..This is my favorite beach place..

My 5 ultimate "Black Beach Destinations" are:
Zanzibar Tanzania
Mombasa Kenya
Cape Coast Ghana
Freetown (Beach #2) Sierra Leone
Senegambia (Senegal/Gambia)
I visited a beach in Zanzibar, but I would not call it a “Black Beach Destination” experience. There were far more white people than anyone else.
We've been here way before the 1600s. This is our land and we all didn't come here as slaves..
I agree with you some of us did come from Africa but most of us were already here in America
Chicken Bone Beach in Atlantic City, NJ was also a segregated beach
Buckroe Beach. Hampton, VA.
Been to Oak Bluffs. Been to American Beach as a child. Will remember both always. I am 78.
This was good information, thumbs up.
oh, this was great history. thanks for sharing

Black people were slaves, let's be honest about our history and stop worrying about the feelings of the dominant society.
Brucies Beach in Los Angeles California
He didn't mention Sea Breeze in Wilmington, NC. Totally Black owned community...until recent gentrification.
Thank you for sharing. As a NY native. I must go to Sag harbor. Never knew.

Hilton island is another notable mention
It sure is. I heard that Burke’s beach was one after talking to a native there.
Love it!! I will visit soon.
Great! Any of them would be great picks.

I am glad Dag Harbor remains black. I would love to visit one day.

Lincoln Beach in New Orleans on lake Pontchartrain.
I agree with you.
Interesting. I never knew. I might treat myself to a solo trip to Oak Bluffs since it is so close to me.
Been around the world but never to Martha's Vineyard and I plan to go there just to see the historical grounds and walk on the grass of my ancestors
Don't forget the "S" ~ Oak Bluffs
How about Black Beach near La Jolla?
That is basically nude beach and there is where I go 🏄♂️
Corvid will be here this summer but I may still be able to made the beach.
We've been ready to say bye to Covid, I hope it won't hunt us this summer too!
USA
Oak Bluffs (Ink Well)
♥️
My family went on holidays at the segregated Atlantic Beach when I was a child. During those days we were not African Americans; We were colored. 😂
Interesting!
Highland Beach
Chicken Bone Beach in AC is missing
No Atlantic Beach South Carolina "The black Pearl"?
What road trip? Where are you getting your gas? 😃
ATLANTIC BEACH SOUTH CAROLINA IS THE ONLY BLACK BEACH IN AMERICA. THE TOWN IS CALLED THE BLACK PEARL.
What about Myrtle Beach?
Better off going to a beach in the Caribbean or Africa
This is native American Indian land
