    I could totally imagine this music in a movie soundtrack. So cinematic!

      Thx! Are you clairvoyant? I actually have a little music video to "Snowflake Sonata" in preparation ;-)

    Hi Andreas, I really do appreciate the time and effort that go into your pieces. The explanations are detailed and provide great detail on the orchestration process. Not sure why you don't have more subscribers! Keep up the work, the piano-to-orchestration series was also great! In terms of the melody and overall orchestration, I think it captured the mood you had in mind and explained so well. It does look complicated, but the way each part comes along and the extra colour added by the various orchestral pieces, really add to the usefulness of this teaching approach! Thank you very much, I am learning so much for my orchestration journey!

      Yes, a melody between relaxation, thoughtfulness and melancholy... definitely something for a hot cup of cocoa... ☕ preferably by a crackling chimney fire... 🔥

      Thanks a lot! 😊 Composing for orchestra can be learned. The trick is: you must not be intimidated by the great masters of this art. Learn a few rules & just do it!

    How long did it take you to write this piece? It's so complex!😲😲

    • @AndreasDormannMusic
      @AndreasDormannMusic  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi, Andreas! I wrote the piece in one evening, I think in 4-5 hours. It's not really very complex when you consider that
      * the A parts are based on exactly ONE melodic idea,
      * this same melody and the counter-melody are passed from one instrument to the next and slightly varied.
