Glad that was useful to you. I have one more on the 4 wire system to publish but once you understand how easy it is to configure, it's kind of obvious how to use it for any light configuration.
Greetings! really enjoy your videos. I have a Ural sidecar for the 2017 Ultra . The sidecar has a 3 wire system . Can I ues this to connect to the sidecar ?
Very informative video. Question: Do I need to have the computer hooked to the internet after the initial download and registration of the EzCAN? Can I do the setup offline? Thank you.
Good question. I'll have to try that with the next one I set up. After registration the program does a firmware check and updates the ezCAN if needed. Once that's done I don't think it would need to be connected.
I'm not sure how you got the brake lights on both the turn(red, blue) and brake(yellow). The turn wasn't visible in that shot. I'm going to be using a 4 way setup, can that be done on a four wire?
That set up is only used in a 5 wire application where you have a separate set of brake lights. In a 4 wire, you will just be using 3 of the 4 ezCAN channels, one for left/brake, one for right/btake and one for tail/running lights.
You download a piece of software from Hex Systems to a desktop or laptop computer. This is used to set up the ezCAN. Once it is set up, you won't need to connect it to a computer again unless you need to change the settings.
This was a great series of video's Dale. Exactly what I was looking for using the EZcan on my motorcycle cargo trailer

Yes, you could certainly use it for that purpose. Glad you like the videos, thanks!

I'm confused. How do you download to what?
