FYI, WHISTLE is the only BLACKPINK music video to use green screen, their "badge of honor" is that they use no green screen, all of their videos use practical sets, props and effects, which, as you'll see as you continue, can be jaw-dropping. The level of video production ramps up from their debut (you saw PINK VENOM).

So here again. I am sad that Layover is finished. I want to tell you that there are 2 videos on BANGTANTV (BTS official chanell), one is the Making of from Layover and the other, I think a Shooting Scetch from the live performances.

There is a funny thing I must tell you. You always say another name at the end. Tae does it often too. When someone asked for his name on their vacation videos, like Bon Voyage or In the Soop, he said often artist names like Van Gogh or Renoir 😂

Thanks for reacting to Blackpink. I was enjoying your reaction up till the point you compared BP's debut mv to V's Layover album? Kind of a lopsided comparison. Almost like comparing a YT reactors contributions to society to those of Elon Musk's, don't ya think? Frankly, there are very few similarities between the 2 groups that make for a fair comparison. BTS came from a small company with a moto of "Music & Artist For Healing", while BP came from one of the big 3 entertainment companies, YGE, with a moto of "Bottom Line". Big Hit was just happy to be able to release NO MORE DREAM and let the guys control their own music. YGE released both WHISTLE and BOOMBAYAH on the same day with the intent on staring to recover years of investment in training, grooming, room and board, promotion, and production.
If you want lyrics with substance from BP then don't bother with BOOMBAYAH. It's as you say just a "commercial" song, but it does have 1.6 Billion views so objective accomplished. You should probably jump forward to TALLY or HAPPIEST GIRL or ever PRETTY SAVAGE or KILL THIS LOVE. I stan many kpop groups and solo artists, including BTS and BP. Both groups stand atop kpop's pyramid. Their immense worldwide popularity has put them there. But the ways in which they gained their popularity is as different as their stage names. appreciate the comment man, and tbh I wasn't really comparing them so far I've been pretty amazed at all of these groups I have listened to and I didnt know what to expect and they all blew me away. The layover album was still just fresh in my mind so I went into this video thinking I was still in story mode and thats what I thought I was going to hear and I mentioned that I didn't but I am hoping to hear all of their stories at some point and also just music really.

Just a kind of "disclaimer". BTS bases it's entire existence on the fact that they were "underdogs" and "everybody was against them" and 'they didn't have the money like the Big 3 companies" when the VERY simple fact is that no one liked their music for the first few years (take a listen). There are artists online who hit it big overnight because they put out a song that people liked listening to. BLACKPINK put out addictive music from their debut, that's just a simple fact. It's not because of promotion and it's not because of a music video. The fact is, if a song is good and gets you pumping you're going to listen to it. WHISTLE broke the record for the fastest that a new artist reached number one in the charts, after only thirteen days.
If you release a catchy song than people will listen. Unfortunately the BTS fandom ARMY is, for some bizarre reason, threatened by BLACKPINK's success and have made a point to denigrate the group over the years, particularly to reactors who watch BTS and decide to check out BLACKPINK.
Just a heads up for the comments that you'll receive.
BLACKPINK does put forth messages in their videos, some are subtle, some are not, and some are just to jam to! I'm hoping you enjoy them all!
