Smt Kishori Amonkar - Savani Kalyan

This recital clearly shows that Tai was a Master of the original Atrauli-Jaipur style of singing propounded by Ustad Alladiya Khan before she expanded into her own inimitable vocal style where 'Bhava' and 'Rasa' takes the center stage. Compare this to Pt. Mallikarjun Mansur's rendition and the striking similarity in terms of technique and presentation is evident.
(As everyone knows Pt. Mansur was the foremost disciple of the great Ustad Manji Khan(son of Alladiya Khan Sahab) and later Bhurji Khan and Alladiya Khan himself.)

As Dr Arun Dravid says, Kishori Amonkar started singing this as *देवो देवो after 1970
