Great work! Except for the narrow rock parts, the trip bears some incredible similarities to driving through the Mackenzie Basin of New Zealand, and the Lindis Pass separating Canterbury from Otago - arid, sparsely populated, with snowy mountains in the distance and little traffic.
i have driven this 150 + times--when you meet the hay trucks pulling hay out of the valley you need to give way==be aware, and the cows hang out by the state line of Nv on the road--seen about 5 cars that hit them,at night it is really hard to see them--the sheriff likes to hang out by the gold point turn off and you will meet a highway patrol now and then--cars drive well over a 100 out there, cross the double yellow all the time
btw--my father in law was Inyo county road commissor in the early 50ties,paved this road and all county roads in inyo county including the one going to cat house out of death valley junction!! he had no idea there was a cat house across the Nv line!!
Fire the editor! He/she/it took video of a great California back country route and screwed it up completely with the hop-scotch, back'n forth editing chop job🤐 Crazy scary driving...half the time on the wrong side of the road...and often coming into curves you can't see around!
yeah i drive that road all the time and many many times people are across the double line but i am very aware so give them the flash--when you meet the hay trucks you have to mostly get off the road or they will just stop and wait til you do!! great fun to drive in my bmw going fast on my side of the road...
Superb!
nice footage! we're doing a video on the best motorcycle roads in CA. Could we use a few seconds of this footage and give you a credit link?
Yes you can use it and give me a credit link
