Bro .... how can this?
This band is incredibly confusing, bizarre, it seems to suck your soul and its forces, this strange sound, this horrible vocal ....
But how can you? Incredibly being so perfect?
This band is a perfect hentai, I can no longer stop listening to this album anymore, it is magnificent.
Calm, heavy at the core point, a little aggressive and technical, the tones completely distorted against musical sense, and exactly this strange that gets addicted to me ......
Autumn Times Eh perfect .... it seems until I talk to my sister ...
No, she has not died, but 26 years ago I have not seen her anymore .... and now, then I found this album, finally this year I will see her again after all this time ... Strange, and symbolic for me .... this song was born for me.

one of the best album I've ever heard. Depressive Age is totally underrated.
Speed metal as own metal art style to shred is not often happening in my music all every day collections, D is repeating frickeling a much to watch now voice suffer does disturb the sessions....
Metal goes tekkno 1992 too, ein bischen friede thunderdome..and rotterdam, bald terror...
God damn right. For me german big 3 are: Mekong Delta, Risk and of course Depressive Age. They rules. Forevermore.
@@gainxchannel7551 Mekong Delta and Depressive Age are awesome bands, but I don't know Risk. I'll listen to them
i love this band. very underrated.
I remember I've had DIY t-shirt with the logo back in the nineties
i ealked in a record store 1982 took out tjis cd and brought it to my friends house and played first song.....now years of abuseacceptance i say destiny finds us , still great album 27 years later.....
This is great thrash. Got to get it on vinyl. Old school thrash like Coroner, Deathrow, Paradox, Forbidden, Atrophy, Vendetta, Heathen and S.D.I. rules.
It's an ADA record in vynil. The first letters means that it's recorded in analogic, but mastered (and maybe edited) in digital tape. The vynil format is a digital mastered written in an analogic support. The vynil record cost 4 times more than the CD version which is ADD, I'll hope you'll get a good version. Fantastic album.
Only Good bands have you menction
Love your choices!!
Mmmpf, hihihihi, deathrow thrashmetal goes death dips hardcore,....1998-2020
Voice kicks me off, retrauma,...no needles necessairies, sharing some importantism,...
Manman...
Finally I found band from my younger age! It's absolute masterpiece!! I really need it on Spotify...
you won't find on spotify only on youtube music
Yo... How have I never heard this before? That guitarist shreds!
Man. This is awesome. How, as a technical thrash metal fan, didn't I ever heard of this band ? Instant classic !!
2022: Depressive Age are back
Honestly the vocals are pretty good. I also normally prefer harsh vocals or grunts/growls but idk, the clean vocals somehow compliment the instrumentals really well.
Incredible debut album. This was completely different from everything else happening at the time. I wore this album out. It still holds it's own. imho
Oh god, this band is really underrated and also one the best thrash metal bands.
fantastisches Album! looved it back then, love it still today.
One of the best tecnchical thrash metal album I've ever heard
awesome band.from berlin germany.
I love this band so much.
This album is amazing.
This is great stuff. Very unique...makes me think what it might sound like if Helloween, Watchtower, and Anacrusis all collaborated on a project. 🤘
You nailed it. Anacrusis..dramatic. watchtower..strange time signatures . And a Heavy metal singer with high-pitch range
To me you can’t get any better with that mix
Masterpiece 🎶🔥🎸🇵🇭
masterpiece
good stuff :)
with the vocals this sounds like nevermore ...years before nevermore
Gloria pura.
Good lord of rock n' roll! I thought Ton Steine Scherben was best band in Germany but this is top notch as well! I just crashed on this album today by mere coincidence and I fell for it. Danke!
try toxoplasma self titled album...that blew my mind into polit hc 1987
🇬🇧...Depressive Age - one of my first contacts with harder music, recommended/reviewed at the time by Volkmar Kramarz on WDR Scream...
🤘🤘🤘🤘
...by the way, thanks for sharing!!!!!
Fan desde México saludos!!!
\m/ Best thrash metal killer bands \m/
Loving it !!! My ears are bleeding 😂
these guys are massive voivod fans and there is nothing wrong with that.
Never heard! 20 Years ago Bros!
Fucking masterpiece! This album and “Lying In Wait” are genius!
yeah
Scheisse, wie lang is das her..........aber immer noch geil!!!
Ich bien zü BATATA CACHORRO QUENTE PIPOCA
I heard a song and thought, wow, the vocals may be horrible rubbish, but the band plays really well...
I listened to the same song a few more times and got everything perfect except the vocals.
Then, I started thinking, I think the song is good exactly because the vocal is shit...... so it's perfect, including this horrible vocal, it's perfect.....perfect...
I listened to other songs and realized... what a great album... they are geniuses,
and this vocal is incredible,
everything is incredible,
what a great band!!!!!!
and I just went to meet now??
This album is perfect, genius!!!
Singing-wise the vocals are fantastic, just his accent is really horrible.
I didn't mind that much back then but nowadays his pronunciation makes it quite hard to listen to, a shame.
Seems like Germany was the prog/tech thrash capital of the world back in the 80s/90s
This band sounds like you replaced Blind Guardians Queen albums with Voivod, great stuff!
I love the wired vocals
define 'wired'.
@@BrecMadak like I have never heard vocals like this before
@@stevenbaksh5545 ah okay.
No Risk and Never Be Blind have some weird verse vocals, but great choruses.
Well it's fine.
fuckin incredible
fucking killer guitar
🇬🇧...innocent in detention...👍👌
🇩🇪...unschuldig in Haft...👍👌
Killer band may have to find a physical copy
This sounds if ever there was such thing as Metal that depicted movies like The Dark Crystal Labyrinth and The Neverending story I love it
it had to be german!! XD sounds like michael kiskes lost twin brother...also like anacrusis..but better.
The early 80's vox style was dead buried and rotting by the time came out this is the era where death metal ruled supreme musically it kicks ass tho 😈😈
And Voivod made Angel Rat that year
Is that one part in the solo for Autumn Times supposed to sound like kittens crying or do I just have cats on the brain?
This is like Killing Joke meets Bauhaus.
Technical ? Or more like Progressive Death ( or Trash ) ?
Amazing.
that's it! amazing music, not progressive death/thrash neo-classical hxc^^
Technical Thrash Metal/Speed
+Mille Petrozza I agree, awesome 90's german thrash for sure!
Pls its Thrash with H not Trash
Lagu nya mantabss,,, tp Vokal nya mirip SUEDE... Here we comes a beatiful ones....😅😅
Of course it's progressive.. Progressive = complex rhythms, unusual time signatures, unusual harmony, unusual song structures, other musical genres influences.
"Technical" meas only that they can actually play..
Save some Pussy for The Rest of Us. Lmao.
Shame "Actually being able to play" doesn't mean "actually good".
masterpiece! Later they became total crap
demasiado jodido
exeptionally trash, clean vocals, FINALLY, was about giving up, used to listen to Satriani, Rush, Lemur Voice, DT, Enchant, Sieges Even, ......
Yeah, thrash shouldn't have clean vocals, harsh but not clean nor scream. I personally like to categorize this band to speed metal, which is although synonym to trash metal.
@@leopartanen9431 I agree about the screams but thrash can have clean vocals listen to Heathen Victims Of Deception
@@stevenbaksh5545 Yes, I agree on that. There are cleaner vocals in thrash metal, but the singing style is still usually pretty aggressive.
One of my favorite bands, my ass ex wife sold it
I'm sorry to hear that. Glad you can listen here.
i am trying so hard to like the vocals....
+jennifer williams His voice reminds me of Sanctuary and Nevermore. I fell in love with this band right away when I heard this album
I'm really not sure about the guys vocals, either.
Its an acquired taste to be sure, I can't think of a vocalist that sounds like him. Like John Arch of Fates Warning/Arch-Matheos, very original. Or the original vocalist for Mayadome, Björn Holmquist was a hard one to get used to. Sabbat's (3rd album) Ritchie Desmond with a more operatic voice than Martin Walkyier, or even Geddy Lee (Rush) or Burke Shelley of the earlier era of Budgie.
But I liked Depressive Age when I first heard "Lying in Wait", it was so damn unusual for its time, still is :).
The vocals are good, original and they go with the type of music, very arhythmic material... kind of Voivod or Sieges Even. The vocals are not hardcore or harsh like in black or death metal, so I don't see why is so hard to like them... try to like Jason McMaster from early Watchtower or Tim Baker from early Cirith Ungol, those are tough but they fit the music.
I think Depressive Age might have been influenced by Voivod and especially, Mekong Delta. Excellent album!
@@davidsarmiento206 i thought i was the only thinking it sounded like Sanctuary and of course Nevermore
stratovarius + blind guardian = DEPRESSIVE AGE \m/ casi...
Roque muñoz lol. ..poser
Not!!!!
@@anjelinadiekmann118 💀💀💀
I hear some early BG in there for sure
This pretty much puts all the shitty teutonic thrash bands to shame.
The vocals ruined this for me
the timing and delivery on the first track took a few listens to come around to. always skipped it but now i love it.
remember theyre german, so english isnt their first language and the intonation/nasal pitch is due to a heavy accent
@@dougbenson3719 Hetfield is ruining every good song.
@@guidovoable lol true
@@endlessallgoodthingshavean6348 Blitz should scream in a more subtle way like Oliver Biber. The more the voice fits, the more the voice fits. (prior) Opeth too low, Flotsam to high. My compromise is Nickleback, with a slight tendencie (?) to the lower kind of a perfect voice.
@valentinanguiano3137🇬🇧...definitely not - strange yes, unusually sure but it makes Depressive Age...
legendary album from a legendary prog/thrash sadly underrated band
