When I was a kid, I got this tape for free from a chain record store I frequented, the owner said he had some metal promos in the back and said he knew I was the right person to give them to. I looked at this tape and thought it would suck, man was I wrong, it blew me away and still love it today.

OK, so, I have really funny memories related with this album. I picked it up not knowing what it is, it sat in my local music pawn shop in '99 or around that, I was 15. I picked it up solely because it looked metal and had a 1987 date printed on the cover - and, as we all knew back then, only metal from the 80s had any value in the days of Limp Bizkit and other numetal crap. The cover also had some photos of the band, and they just... looked "thrash metal" enough to justify the purchase. So I leave the shop, put the tape into my walkman, and for a few seconds I'm just stunned. I just discovered the most amazing "unknown" thrash band ever! Wow, the riffs, the sound..!
    ...and then the vocals appeared.
I rarely laugh out loud in public. That time not only did I laugh, I literally bent in half, roaring with laughter.
The vocals were so... silly! Now, before anyone is angered by this, please keep in mind that English is not my native language, so it might've contributed to how I perceived it. But I just couldn't help it, Gary just sounded like Alice Cooper going through puberty trying to sing King Diamond songs :D I was stunned. How could a band with such amazing instrumental talents hold on to such a silly vocalist..?
But hold on, it's not over yet :) I had a friend who accompanied me in the search for good music - we live in Poland, so in the 90s it wasn't that easy to get all the sweet American metal we craved and each noteworthy discovery was cherished. So I immediately set a course for his home, listening to the album on the way there. He opened the door and I said that I have something magical to listen to, but we'd better smoke a joint beforehand. We did just that and I rewound the tape, already giggling a bit. And then we pressed PLAY. "R.I.P." riffs come up. My friend pricked his ears, "hey, this is good, man!" he said. And then the first verse comes up after 55 seconds of heavy thrashing.
The room just exploded with our laughter. We cried tears of joy. My friend was as stunned as me. "WHAT THE HELL?!?" he shouted with his eyes wide open in shock, "WHAT'S UP WITH THIS GUY!?!" he added rolling on the floor. We spent the next hour laughing and headbanging, amazed by this weirdest thrash record we heard so far.
Knowing the band is good, I went back to the pawn shop to get the two remaining Wrath tapes they had: "Fit of Anger" and "Insane Society". We nicknamed Gary "Mr Funny Throat" which probably doesn't translate well to English but you get the point. We became fans ans were disappointed with "Insane Society" because they got this other guy to sing, and he wasn't as funny as Gary. Also the songs weren't as kick-ass as the previous albums.
So it's been almost 25 years since I discovered this band. I have more appreciation for Gary's vocals now, despite still sounding a bit silly to me. However, tha music is just effin awesome. Composition wise this is one of my favorite albums, kinda reminds me of Annihilator which I just worship.
I can honestly say that I will never forget that one hour of stoned laughter this LP provided us with. One of my best memories from my teenage days.

hell is full brought me here. i have searched for the song for a long time on youtube but could not recall who recorded it. so i finally found it after runmmaging through youtube and a few other songs with the same name. finally i saw the name 'wrath' in the column to the right and went to 'hell is full'. i had found the song i been searching for over a few years. then i searched wrath and found the full album, here. thanks for posting. long ago i had this on vinyl, back in the late 80's.

I didn't like this album too much some time ago, but this time around I really don't know why... The opening song 'R.i.p.' (and some other bits, too) sounds like it may have inspired Vio-Lence, but I have no proof. Very typical vocals (reminiscent of... Vio-Lence's Sean Killian sometimes, indeed, and some other high/low-pitched metal screamers - King Diamond), but I love 'em... and the music (mostly melodic heavy / speed metal, not thrash as much), too!
