    Kanye says these Yeezy 350 Steel Grey V2s are FAKE!
    With a 11 month old, a backpack hobby, and limited time these days, I totally just bought these 350 v2s in Steel Grey thinking they were just like all the other ones!
    But NO! Kanye is not happy! I really wish I had known. I was probably one of the only people that actually made a video defending Kanye in the wake of the Adidas collaboration going south in 2022. I basically said Adidas is ONLY about the money, and as time has passed, that has proven to be true. And this is probably the most egregious example of it yet. If I knew beforehand, I would have stood with Kanye on this one and boycotted this release. I do think we as consumers have more power than corporations would let on or want to admit. If we DON’T buy something, that’s it for them.
    So what do you think? Did you buy the shoe? Did you know about this issue beforehand? Do you care? I want to hear from you! Let me know in the comments! And if you like this video, please consider giving it a 👍 and subscribing! Every little bit helps, and we really appreciate it!
    Until next time! ✌️

    I didn’t see your video defending west. What qualities in him as a person are worth defending?

    • @FlawlessActivity
      @FlawlessActivity  7 місяців тому +2

      The link is in the description. Not so much about his qualities or lack thereof, but rather the cancel culture train that forced Adidas to end the relationship with Ye under the guise of actually caring about what he said. For Adidas, it was all about the money. They were afraid of getting cancelled themselves, so they ended the relationship, but in the immediate wake they realized just how much a true clean break with Ye would cost them, and as you can see, have proceeded to walk back just about everything, and now they're actually selling his shoes and not giving him his % cut. Funny how that all worked out isn't it? At this point Adidas is more worthy of getting cancelled than ever before for being a money driven corporation with no actual guiding principles. I know you shouldn't expect a corporation to be - but the false pretense of 'caring' and 'doing the right thing' when they ended the relationship was BS, and now screwing over the creator that really drove a mega portion of their business is just extra terrible. Adidas sucks. That was the primary message. If you don't actually have any principles as a corporation, then don't pretend like you do, and then proceed to show you're actually ruthlessly cut throat and will do everything you can to screw over a former business partner in bad faith. The relationship ended, fine. If you're selling his shoes, give him his cut. Okay, off my soap box. Thanks for asking, appreciate the question!🤙

      @@FlawlessActivity It’s true that Adidas shouldn’t sell the shoes if they’ve decided to break their relationship with him. That we agree with. I hope we can also agree that the things he’s said and done are pretty vile. I don’t understand the whole “I stand with Ye” mentality. It’s sad that people are willing to overlook his actions because just he created some sneakers that they like. I’d also take with a grain of salt anything he says. It doesn’t make sense. Why would adidas sue him if they already fire him and also not giving him his cut? And why isn’t he suing them for not giving him his cut? That’s all I have on this. You seem like a good guy, beautiful daughter in the video. I have 2 girls of my own. Good discussion.

      @@jorgerosas5138 my man! It may not seem like it on the surface from the type of content on my channel (really, I just love sharing things that I'm passionate about), but I love me a great discussion, and I do think this is a good one. Appreciate you engaging in thoughtful dialogue. My real answer to your comments would be long winded and probably necessitate a back and forth. In person, I'd bet it'd be great. Here, it's a bit clunky, so I'll try to be brief. When it comes to corporations vs individuals it's not really a fair fight. I don't agree with or condone the crazy stuff Ye has said. I don't ‘stand with Ye’ in that sense. But I do think his worldview is different than ours. He's been through a lot. He's changed over the years. An easy way to characterize it would be to call him ‘crazy’, but that would diminish all it took to drive him to this point. He's a black man that made it to the top of the mountain in both music and fashion. That's not easy. We have no idea what it took. So I have empathy that he's probably seen some things and dealt with things that most of us have no appreciation for. To see Adidas come along and take a phony stand at his expense - IMO, that's worse than anything Ye did or could do. He's 1 man. We all have met, and probably know ‘crazy’ people. We've seen idiosyncrasies and we know there's no way to control them. I don’t really care for the saying, ‘it is what it is’, but that kind of applies here. Ye is who he is, a product of all he's been through. Take it or leave it. But if you're going to leave it on principle, then maybe actually stick to the principle you left it for. Adidas is a corporation. Not an individual. Everything they do is measured. Calculated. So when they do the wrong thing, you know it's on purpose. And, I think anyway, that is far worse. With respect to my daughter, thank you! She's the #1 thing I live for. I do have a playlist on my channel called ‘Hot Talk’ that's more in tune with discussions like this, and I've got a video there called ‘I'm going to be a Girl Dad’ that talks about the difficult 2.5 years we went through to conceive her. Congrats on your girls! I'm sure you're a proud Papa. How old are they, if you don't mind me asking?

      @@FlawlessActivity we’ll agree to disagree with regards to what Adidas did being worse. I think spreading hate speech is far worse than parting ways and not giving royalties to said hateful person. I understand what he accomplished. I’m from Chicago and was a fan of his when he first got his start but spreading hate is not something I stand for. Accomplishing something against the odds doesn’t give anyone the excuse to be hateful. Again, we agree Adidas shouldn’t sell the shoes anymore. It’s very hypocritical. Also, if his worldview has let him see things we don’t then he could have gone into business for himself a long time ago but he didn’t, he collaborated with Nike and now Adidas. He also didn’t HAVE to spread hate speech. He brought that on to himself.
      Thanks for the comment on my girls! They are 10 and 13. All I can say is enjoy this time with them! It doesn’t get easier but it’s always beautiful and rewarding!

      @@jorgerosas5138 appreciate the reply. No disagreement on the hate speech, and no point going in the gutter about the worst of two wrongs. Completely agree, if Adidas really wanted to cut ties and actually had done so properly that Ye would have deserved it and would need to own it. But that's not how it went down. I definitely will enjoy the time, and it goes by too fast. Seems like she was just born and she's having her first birthday in two weeks. Time flies! Enjoy the time with yours. Cheers bud!🍻🤙

    I think it's fine man, if you like the shoe, you should get the shoe. I ended up getting a pair too, I don't have a darker shade in the 350's and it's the last batch adidas will ever release, so why not? Yes, it is really unfortunate what is going on between Ye & adidas. Not saying it is right, but he did sign a contract with them that obviously could let them do this without paying him or adidas couldn't be getting away with this at all. Ppl right now are boycotting this pair, but watch how many switch up once adidas drops some slides and foam runners lol

    • @FlawlessActivity
      @FlawlessActivity  7 місяців тому +2

      What's up man! Really appreciate the perspective, and you taking the time. I definitely don't think it's that serious, but I do think a lot of people, myself included when I first entered the drawing, had no idea how Ye felt about these. So I think knowing is half the battle. If someone knows and doesn't care, I won't hold it against them. The part that I'm honestly a little skeptical about is this being the last batch. Adidas without Yeezy has a huge gap to fill, and if they can't figure it out with other offerings, this will be the first step to them making more pairs on their own and claiming Ye has no right to any of it. With respect to the contract, there's some funny stuff from way back that restricted him from taking more than 30 days off for self help, which in hindsight is some BS. I think the real issue is most contracts are entered into in good faith, but it seems like Adidas is doing all they can to screw Ye over and keep this gravy train flowing. It's just a really bad look for them, but like I said, at the end of the day, the money is all that matters. And you're probably right about the other offerings. If a new colorway is 🔥 enough, people will forget all about it for that one instance... Be well brother!🤙

    That people are taking Kayne's word as 100% factual is the biggest joke. I loved Kanye when he first started releasing music, but he has fallen down hard and speaks a bunch of BS. You don't know what is true vs fact

    • @FlawlessActivity
      @FlawlessActivity  6 місяців тому +2

      You're not wrong about Kanye lacking credibility when it comes to straight facts - but I'd ask you to consider two things: Kanye is just an individual, one single man, versus Adidas, which is a mega large multi-national corporation. And, in this context, Adidas said they were breaking off the relationship and there wouldn't be any more shoes. That was 2022. It's 2024. They're still selling the damn shoes. That's a fact. So who can't you trust? That's the point, brother. I don't take Kanye at his straight word, I don't honestly think anybody does, but Adidas BEEN on some BS, and yes, you should expect more of them than Kanye. Appreciate the comment. Not trying to be combative in the least, you draw attention to a good point that's worth discussing. And yes, I miss old Kanye. Through the Wire Kanye. Be well bro. Peace👊🤙

    The shoes have a strange context around them given everything but hey, for all who like a 350v2 and want it at retail (or less maybe now in the aftermarket?) here we have it. The only thing one could say to Ye is "Read contract carefully next time".

    • @FlawlessActivity
      @FlawlessActivity  7 місяців тому

      Henry! Great to hear from you, and as usual, thanks! Yea, when she hit me on the arm and looked at me in the video I died. Love her to bits! Definitely not mad at anyone that has been wanting a 350 and unable to get them at reasonable prices before snagging a pair here. With respect to the contract, more info is coming out about how before all this went down, Adidas placed a restriction on him from receiving long term mental health treatment, which, if we think about how ruthless they've shown themselves to be, was really just a clause to let them get out, counting on Ye having mental health issues. In our woke state, this actually shouldn't be cool with anybody, and again, this is what he was up against before. In general, I will say, lawyers can get away with murder if they want to. There is a contract, sure, but both parties should act in good faith. Adidas is clearly acting in bad faith at this point, and as a multi-national billion dollar corporation, they can bully at will, which again, is not cool. Cheers bud, hope you're doing well!🍻🤙

      How old are the 350s you're talking about? With the more recent 350s, say like 2022, they definitely made them tighter and you really needed to go a 1/2 size up at a minimum. On feet these felt like other recent 350s to me, but they're definitely much more snug than the older models from a few years back. Sorry to hear, sucks that there's no returns on these...
